About this listen

Her "unrelenting" (Publishers Weekly) and "tension-packed" (Library Journal) novels have made Kiki Swinson a best-selling chronicler of Virginia's most glittering, treacherous streets. In the explosive follow-up to her high-octane The Score, a master thief's ultimate payday delivers the deadliest game of all.

Two for the money.

Identity thief Lauren Kelly thought she was safe. The millions she stole from her double-crossing accomplice and ex-lover Matt Connors bought a quiet upscale life for her; her unsuspecting new husband, Drake; and their precious baby. But betrayal was just the beginning.

Three to throw down.

When both Drake and the baby go missing, it's courtesy of a vengeful Matt. Lauren has less than 24 hours to give him back the money. She's prepared for any payback - but nothing can keep this exchange from going all-the-way wrong.

No price is too high.

Now Lauren lives to hunt Matt down. She'll strip away his fortune, work all his weaknesses - and destroy his every strength. But she's heading straight into an insidious trap that could turn sweet revenge into mutually assured destruction.

I absolutely LOVED the first book in this series. The main characters were well developed and relatable, and even tho Lauren made a couple of stupid decisions she was still pretty smart overall. But this book? She was just plain DUMB. Almost every decision she made left me ptfo bc she was SO much smarter in the first book. It's lk she continued to make mistakes that anyone with her street marts should hv known better than to mk! A couple of times I was so disgusted with her stupidity that I almost stopped listening. I didn't tho, and even now that I finished it I'm still not sure that was the right call, but...you be the judge.

Really Kiki???

This would have been better with a different narrator. She wasn't horrible but this wasn't the book for Simi Howe. I've heard her on other books and she did a great job.

Great story....wrong narrator!

I enjoyed listening to this book. The narrator was perfect. It was all about finding her son at any cost. I couldn't stop listening. It was a rainy day. I just stayed in and listen to this. It made a great day.

Looking for my son

This book was so good to me. Once again she found herself in some shit, but her smart whit kept her a step ahead every point of the way!!!

I was praying for a happy ending for Lauren!!!

Lawd I thought Lauren would never get away from that lunatic Matt. Glad Lisa got some sense about her, but so sad she felt she had to do what she did. It should have been her instead of Matt. But can't wait to read on, I have so many questions that I need answers to. And even though this book starts with the second chapter don't know how they let that happen, and then repeats it, it was good.

Good

Too many unnecessary descriptions. I listened on 1.5. Not as good as book 1. I was very disappointed

Boring.
