About this listen

Marvel characters have been shaping pop culture for decades and when comic books were no longer keeping the company afloat, Marvel Studios was born.

Marvel Studios is the multibillion-dollar home to iconic franchises. They are known for creating brilliant multilayered worlds and storylines that allow their audiences to escape into a fantasy and inspire the creative side of every viewer. But, behind those visionaries is a well-oiled storytelling machine dedicated to getting the Hulk’s smash fists in the hands of every child and a sea of Spiderman costumes deployed every Halloween.

This book educates lion how one of the largest creative companies in the planetary universe runs their business and keeps their fans and their parent company, Disney, counting the profits. Through the story of Marvel Studios, you’ll learn:

  • How to recognize and pursue additional revenue streams
  • How a company can successfully balance the creative with business to appease investors and fans alike
  • And how to keep a decades-old superhero franchise new and exciting without losing sight of its roots

This was an excellent overview of the Marvel Studios story. It began with the creation of the comics and noted the many changes that led to the MCU. Lots of great behind the scenes details and stories. Biggest disappointment is that this is much too short. I should’ve been a larger and longer book.

Excellent Overview of the MCU, too Short

while this book is good for Novice or intermediate fans of Marvel Comics and Movies, the book gives very good content and context for the initial 60 percent of the book. but then the content and substance seems to thin out quickly after The Avengers movie part of the book's arch. this book's is a good introduction but if you want more Marvel history or you are a die hard marvel fan, this isn't for you

A great read for artists and entrepreneurs in the creative field to understand more of the business side of art.

A Compelling Story

The narrator didn't pronounce at least 3 Marvel Characters and it affected my opinion on this book.

It was great but..

The book is good up until they start talking about. Capt. Marvel and you know all the stuff that they talk about? You know, women not have it hard in the workplace, and they can't play superheroes and blah blah blah blah blah, I have a daughter. Oh I love very much. When Marvel missed the boat on is introducing these characters slowly like they did with Black Widow like an endgame when all the females come together, you know what it feels like it feels pushed on the audience because there's it's out of nowhere. You know none of those characters interacted before are very rarely and then they try to shove it in their face like we got this give me a break

It's a good book until they get into all the wheel woman power and the feminist stuff
