About this listen
How can a weak little fawn overcome all odds of survival against a bigger animal than her?
Does the old bear escape the smoke-filled teepee and pursue the twins back up the path to the meadow?
Does the old bear make it over the boulders?
What happened to little Elie’s sister? Does she make it back to the meadow?
Does the mother doe succeed at raising her twins?
The meadow is a warm and safe place to raise the twins, but like all kids, their playtime got them into trouble. They had to survive and stay together to beat the dark presence that tricked them.
When we walk the path of life, we all make bad decisions, and we must learn how to survive and make the right choices.
I told story of the meadow to my sons and grandchildren. My grandchildren are the ones who encouraged me to write and have the story published. We would be riding around in the truck, and instead of listening to music, I would tell them stories.
What is the moral of the story? Always listen to your mother!
Mothers and grandmothers will always keep us safe. Mothers are teachers and protectors and keep us safe as we grow up.
When things go wrong, your sibling will stick with you and help you get back onto the right path.

Story
Two girls survive a terrible flood in the Tasmanian bush and are rescued by a pair of Tasmanian tigers who raise them in the wild. Their story of survival is remarkable, as they adapt to the life of the tiger, learning to hunt and to communicate without the use of human language. When they are discovered and returned to civilization, neither can adapt to being fully human after their extraordinary experience. Totally believable, their story will both shock and captivate listeners as it explores the animal instincts that lie beneath our civilized veneer.

Story
The Original Bambi is an all-new translation of a literary classic that presents the story as it was meant to be told. For decades, readers' images of Bambi have been shaped by the 1942 Walt Disney film—an idealized look at a fawn who represents nature's innocence—which was based on a 1928 English translation of a novel by the Austrian Jewish writer Felix Salten. This masterful new translation gives contemporary readers/listeners a fresh perspective on this moving allegorical tale and provides important details about its creator.
