About this listen

Michael Palmer, a skilled physician and veteran of big city emergency rooms, burst on the literary scene with The Sisterhood, a riveting medical thriller that instantly climbed the New York Times best-seller list. Palmer followed up that smashing debut with a string of major best sellers, each one revealing a new aspect of his talent for medical terror. Now, for the first time, three of Michael Palmer's most gripping medical thrillers appear together in a single volume.

Fast-paced suspense, crisply drawn characters, and an insider's knowledge of what really goes on inside hospitals are the hallmarks of Palmer's unique style. Miracle Cure, The Patient, and Extreme Measures are among his best thrillers.

Wrong titles

The books have the wrong titles. All 3 however are good stories and I enjoyed them.

loved Miracle Cure and The Patient.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Michael Palmer Value Collection to be better than the print version?

don't know. Not read

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

The Extreme Measures production's narrator was awful. The other two were very good.

Michael Palmer truly gets better with time

There are a TON of Michael Palmer books that I love love love!!! He has gotten better as time has gone on!

Extreme Measures was a ridiculous story that I could barely keep up with what was going on and who was who. It also seemed very short & I was kinda glad it was over.

The miracle cure was substantially better! I enjoyed the story and character exponentially more that the previous story and was happy it was included in the collection I purchased.

The patient was even better than the other two! It had lots of action and even some moments that made you sit on the edge of your seat.

But I implore you, if you are looking to ready Michael Palmer, or for a good medical thriller, start with his most recent stuff. He has developed his skill to perfection! His more recent books will keep you guessing, enthralled, biting your nails, trying to put the pieces together and wanting more. These were 3 of his earliest pieces and were written in the 90s and early 2000s so I have to say Bravo for a decent start Mr. Palmer; but even more so Bravo for drastically honing your craft and developing your skills as a story teller!!
