About this listen

With each New York Times bestseller, ER physician turned author Michael Palmer sets a new standard for medical suspense. Packed with factual authenticity only a doctor could prescribe, this book is Palmer's most electrifying thriller yet.

Dr. Brian Holbrook - former football star and disgraced chief of cardiology - is given the chance of a lifetime when he gets a call from the prestigious Boston Heart Institute. They need him to join an elite team testing the new miracle drug Vasclear. With his father suffering from a dangerous heart condition, Holbrook seizes the opportunity to save his reputation, and also his father's life. However, when patients start dying mysteriously, and colleagues begin to disappear, it's up to Holbrook to find the truth before it's too late.

Ron McLarty's inspired narration will carry you spellbound as greed and murder join forces in the shining halls of a world-renowned hospital.

Physician Michael Palmer is a long time writer of medical mystery novels. Miracle Cure was written 17 years ago and I'm pleased that it is now available in audiobook format. The long time criticism that all of Palmer's books tend to follow the same formula is valid for Miracle Cure, but it detracts little from this well written novel. The themes of the novel are (1) a physician who makes a major mistake can be redeemed and (2) drug studies can be rather easily manipulated.

Having Ron McLardy narrate Miracle Cure is a treat.

I absolutely loves this book! Full of suspense, mystery, love and loss. This was a very nice reminder to never give up and to do what you know is right.

Another great one!

Palmer has been equal to if not better than other great medical suspense authors as Cook and Cornwell!

enjoyed every moment. But narrator could not pronounce common words such as lovastatin. it was used several times and mispronounced every time. I'm not a medical professional, but it drove me crazy for a while. usually the author has the responsibility to correct the errors.
Over all,. Great Book. Well done. thanks Dr Palmer.

If you are into medical books you will like this. Lots of action. I always like every Michael Palmer book I have read and this did not disappoint. Narrator did a great job which helps so much when listening to a book. I am just sorry that Michael has passed because he was such a good author.

Great Book

Performance good BUT, the narrator needs to be tutored on the pronunciation of medical terminology, such as vascular, eosinophils. As a medical provider, it is jarring to hear these words mispronounced.

Kept me on the edge of my seat
