Love and Murder

A successful young mother, Kelsey Berreth, vanishes on Thanksgiving Day in 2018. Kelsey, a pilot so good she taught the military how to fly, goes shopping at a Safeway store, and simply disappears.

Her fiance, Patrick Frazee, says he doesn't have a clue. In fact, he says they broke up just a few days before. He's as mystified as everyone else. But Kelsey's mother, Cheryl, is afraid she knows what happened to her daughter.

A task force of FBI and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation agents believe they also know what happened to Kelsey. They have cell phone records and more, including surveillance video and DNA. But they have run into a roadblock.

The agents have to get someone close to the killer to flip and turn state's evidence.

Are they going to have to do a deal with the devil to find justice for Kelsey Berreth?

Contains mature themes.

True story that reads more like a novel

Maybe this is a genre that I haven’t read before but the writing style seems more like a novel than a true crime non fiction accounting. Some small details seem like the author filled in some inconsequential gaps.

Interesting

With this story, it was spoken by a man and he did a pretty good job of narrating . I had read the reviews that said it was a woman reading the book and did a bad job. They must’ve change the narrators. . True story I do wish that it had a bit more information was kind of repetitive, but it did keep my attention, and made it through the whole book. Very sorry that this young mother was killed in the prime of her life. It’s so sad, why can’t people just get a divorce or just break up you don’t have to kill the person.!!!!

Rushed, awful narration

The story was rushed, some parts weren’t elaborated on enough and just felt like parts of the story were missing. Also, the narration was awful. Sounded like a robot a lot of the time. This could have been done better.

Kelsey Berreth

I’ve never heard about this case before.

The murder of Kelsey Berreth is a very awful case.

It’s hard to stop listening to this book because the book is so well written combined with an awesome narrator.

The book is not that long however it seems like the author has managed to get all the information into a shorter book.

If you haven’t heard about this case I recommend you listen to this book.

Good short true crime story

I’m hooked on true crime stories. Just knowing that the story really happened adds more to a crime story. I like short stories in between the long ones I usually listen to. This was a good one.

Sad

Kelsey could have been saved only if Krystal would have opened her mouth and went to the police and told them what Kelsey’s husband was planning, Krystal is where she should be, but should be there even longer than what she got!

A Senseless Crime

New true crime story for me. I haven’t heard of this one. Enjoyed the story as well as the performance. Fast paced and held my attention. Overall rating bumped up from a 4.5 to a 5 star rating.

Narration performance I thought was good. ***5 Stars***

Though the story was good, I felt that I was missing something while reading it. Maybe not everything was accounted for in the story. It is one of the shorter true crime mysteries that I have come across. . .approximately 4 hours. ***4 Stars***
