Critic reviews

"This book has heart and soul. It will make you laugh and send a few tears down your face. It will give you some major insight into military couples that go through this kind of thing every day. It's as real as it gets." ( Into the Night Book Reviews)

I liked it

3.5 stars rounded up

It was a good book and definitely kept me entertained.

It wasn't super memorable, the reason it isn't 4 stars.

I do remember enjoying it as I listened so there's that.

Narrators:
Tara Sands- 4stars-he voice is a little nasally, but not so much that it was distracting.
George Newbern-4 stars-his Jake voice was a bit high pitched and almost like his other female voices

A good read .

This was enjoyable and I don't regret reading it. I've read better but I definitely read much worse. It was entertaining.

Just did not do it for me

This book just did not do it for me. From the narration of Tara Sands to some of the story. The story starts off good and George Newbern did a great job. About half way threw I was just ready for it to be over already. The first part was good and had potential, then you get to the middle and to me, it just seems like the writer got tired of writing the book. Then the mistakes. Once Shane was talking and instead of saying I reached over, he says He reached over like it was a different person. I find that very annoying!

Disturbing

It’s so disturbing the stupid conclusions that they have. Like: he loved me, I felt that. He demonstrated his love, but I believe a random call from his ex and think he reconnected with her.
Then: my father is a nice guy, he left because my mom asked. Very nice indeed, never contacted his son or paid a dime for child support.
A lot of unnecessary stuff, the whole plot could be narrated in just 1 hour and still have all the relevant information, I read other book from the same author that was better, this one was not good at all. All characters need therapy!
