This, like all the prequels has been so fantastic getting more of Iain and Rae's story from when they first met. They're immediately drawn to each other, but he is constantly worried about their age difference. They become friends through his being her tutor which then turns to more. Getting to experience what tore them apart was heartbreaking.
Emma Wilder and John Hartley were perfect for Rae and Iain.

I enjoyed getting a more in depth look at what Really happened between Ian and Rae back then. These two have such a great connection. It is just flying off the pages Ian is so sexy in here with his kilt wearing (shirt and no shirt) I am not sure how Rae doesn't keel over when she sees him. Then there is the added mystery of what happened to Ian.

I did listen to this on audio. Shane East and Emma Wilder did an amazing job. They are such a joy to listen to.

If you're in the mood for a hot Scot romance, look no further. Fair warning, you'll get sucked in and want the rest of this couple's story.
I have not listened to their book yet, but love the fact that I'm getting in at the beginning with this prequel.

Emma Wilder and John Hartley narrate this one and I love hearing their voices together!

Iain and Rae are an age gap, forbidden , professor/student trope-tastic romance.

I loved everything until I got to the part where it all fell apart for this sweet couple! Ugh, the angst!! Lol.
I need the continuation!!

This is an excellent prequel to Rae and Iain's story. This is a sweet and sexy slow burn, forbidden age-gap romance. The Hot Scots are amazing! This is another great addition to the series. John Hartley and Emma Wilder did a great job with the narration. I enjoyed it! Looking forward to listening to Notorious in a Kilt, to know what happens next. I highly recommend this series.

Great Prequel to Rae and Iain's story!

Some books just hit you the right way, and this one hit my heart! The preview for Notorious in a Kilt, we get Ian and Rae's beginnings. Rae is Ian's student. Instantly taken with each other, these two have the best relationship. Never crossing the line, keeping Ian's job as a professor safe, the story is sweet, and slow burning. But there are secrets Ian is keeping, and they both find out just how much life can give to and take from them. Ian is so sweet and attentive. Knowing his inner monologue, it's incredible the control he has as he takes care of Rae. Love him. Rae is starstruck. Good looking professor, but finds out his interests align with hers. This is a fantastic look back at their meet cute. Loved it!

Narrated by John Hartley and Emma Wilder, it could not have been a better listen. Hartley is so good at his accents, from the American as Rae, to the Scottish as Ian, he is believable and spot on with his characters. Wilder always gives a story her all, and she packs in the emotions with this one. She too, a master at accents nails that Scot, and makes him realistic. Loved it!

This is the prequel to Notorious in a Kilt. I read that book a couple of years ago, and I was excited to get the full story of Iain and Rae's beginning. I loved listening to it! The audiobook is perfect because the narrators do a great job of performing the fun, friendship, and complicated sexual tension between Iain and Rae. How had I forgotten how swoony Iain MacTaggart is? He is so kind and gentle with Rae, and she looks up to him in such a cute way. They have so much simmering chemistry, and it is funny listening to them pretend that they can remain just friends. I ended up falling in love with them as a couple all over again.

Loved finding out more about Iian and Rey’s back story. Iian can definitely be my book boyfriend. Audio performance is amazing with the Scottish accent.
