Publisher's summary

Cliff Hardy is stunned to get a phone call from his ex-wife Cynthia. It has been over 20 years since she last shouted she never wanted to see him again and she was never a woman to change her mind. But that surprise is nothing to the bombshell Cynthia is about to drop. Dying of cancer, she's desperate to get in contact with the daughter she gave up for adoption - and the daughter in question, she confesses, is also Cliff's! A shocked but sceptical Cliff agrees to search for their missing daughter. But this is never going to be a straightforward investigation....

Another great listen from Peter Corris!!!

I've listened to around 350-400 audiobooks now, while driving road trains all over australia, & the one thing that really helps time fly on the road, is a good audiobook! especially ones that can hold my attention like this book, or any other books from the Cliff Hardy series for that matter. Peter Hosking's narration is absolutely brilliant! The way Peter delivers his narration really brings the characters alive and makes it a fantastic book that is hard to put down.
More please!!!

Another good book in the Cliff Hardy series

I enjoyed this book. It didn't have as much action as some others in the series, but delved into his past, and was more emotional. Cliff is still the quintessential Australian male, with the dry humour I really like. Once again the narration was so good that it didn't get in the way of the story.
