Publisher's summary

If you identify as an OverThinker, people-pleaser, or perfectionist, welcome to the club.

Throughout my life, I have strived to "have it all." I was married, had three children, owned my own home, had a big job in Hollywood as a television executive, and juggled as fast as I could.

But along with my busy life, I also suffered from chronic headaches, stomachaches, insomnia, and muscle tension. I was a workaholic, hypochondriac, anxious, high-functioning mess.

My life was a constant race, a never-ending pursuit of perfection. I was so consumed by creating a 'perfect' life that I never had the time to truly enjoy it.

In an attempt to mitigate my stress, I moved my family to Hawaii for a more idyllic life, but like the old saying goes, "No matter where you go, there you are."

So, eventually, I had to learn how to manage my mind and body and how to be present in my life so that I could start loving my life... instead of just surviving it.

This book is a compilation of everything I studied, learned, and now practice as a wife, mother, and full-time life coach.

Must-Read Guide to Finding Joy Beyond Overthinking

"I'll have an egg roll with that, please." If you know, you know. If not, trust me—this book is the perfect place to start.

Jackie de Crinis’s book felt like a mirror, reflecting back the overachiever, people-pleaser, and perfectionist tendencies I know all too well. Through her candid, relatable storytelling, Jackie shares her journey with the warmth of a close friend and offers practical self-help guidance through simple, achievable steps. Her hard-won methods for a calmer, more present life resonated deeply with me, as did her honest recounting of living with stress and anxiety while constantly pushing for “more.”

In each chapter, Jackie’s reflections and practical exercises helped me recognize the patterns that keep me in cycles of overthinking and burnout. Her steps toward mindfulness and finding contentment within, rather than constantly reshaping external circumstances, are easy to follow and surprisingly grounding. Just as she learned, I’m reminded that "no matter where you go, there you are."

Part memoir, part self-help, this book is both empowering and validating. With actionable goals woven throughout, it’s a must-read for anyone ready to leave the treadmill of perfectionism behind and embrace the peace that comes with enough.

Look out Mel Robbins!

I never review books on Audible but felt compelled to let you know THIS ONE was a game changer!
Listening to Jackie's thoughts on life lessons through her own journey, I couldn't help thinking to myself, "it's time to put myself back on the top of my priority list and set some goals for this next chapter of life". Her suggestion of writing a letter to yourself is incredibly valuable and reminding yourself "you are the captain of your own ship". The idea of
"building a life you don't need a vacation from" is some of the best advise l've ever heard! Do something for YOU today and download this delightful book. Jackie, hoping this is the first of many!!! Look out Mel Robbins;)|

Speaks to me!

Love everything about this book. In general, im not a huge fan of self help books, they are usually too long and I lose interest after a few chapters. This book is the perfect length, and is 100% relatable for anyone. Will be recommending to all of my friends and family members who are overthinkers and people pleasers. Thank you so very much!!!
