About this listen

Doctor Benny Sorensen has had it up to here with her party-throwing playboy neighbor. She's declaring war. She doesn't care how gorgeous or charming he is - he's going down. That is until he proposes something she's not sure she can say no to....

Wealthy ad man Henry Ellison lives an uncomplicated life that revolves around work, women, and partying. In that order. Until Benny storms into his life. To placate his attractive but hotheaded neighbor, Henry offers to help her land a date with the man of her dreams. Only as Henry makes her over and coaches her on the fine art of flirting, he realizes that the idea of this woman in any other man's arms but his own is unacceptable. But Benny's a forever kind of girl, and forever might just be the one commitment he can't make.

Contains mature themes.

This book was so enjoyable. I loved the two main characters & it was so entertaining I couldn’t put it down. Narrator was good also although I do like it better when there are male & female narrators.

EXCELLENT!!!!

disliked narrator's mispronunciation of numerous words, additional speech impediment was distracting and diminished overall enjoyment of the story

Another win for the author

I very much enjoy stories with love triangles so this was up my ally. I liked the story and the miscommunication that leads to the issues is not overdone and seems natural. People often hide their attraction and true feelings in this way, but not so much that it makes me feel frustrated at how ridiculous they are acting. I felt satisfied in the way they flirted and battled their feelings while also enjoying the steamy kisses. I only wish we had a male narrator to compliment. Enjoyable.

Sweet, light and enjoyable. Love triangle read.

WHAT A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! Why would Benie ever tolerate this man? I had loved her from the previous books but wow, I can't stand her now. Not to mention I detested both men. Why she take advice from this stranger whom she has no respect for? Why wouldn't Benie get advice from her brwhat she wants? others, who she knows already have . She has thinks of Henry as a despicable man so, WHY WHY WHY would she ever allow him to near her? Let alone ask him to be her "love" teacher. SERIOUSLY? What a lousy plot. Even worse, it is a poor imitation of the of the Ugly Truth, which was pretty awful too. I couldn't stomach the book. I just couldn't get through it! AWFUL!!

BAD! You could call it a Deal with the Devil?

I wanted to feel sorry for Bennie, who was convinced that she was NOT naturally attractive but needed to use make-up and wear revealing clothes. Sadly, no one told Bennie that she was lovable just the way God made her. I was disappointed that a female author would send such a degrading message to her own gender, especially younger women.

Poor Bennie
