To the Green-Eyed Lovebird: We met 15 years ago, almost to the day, when I moved my stuff into the NYU dorm room next to yours at Senior House. You called us fast friends. I like to think it was more. We lived on nothing but the excitement of finding ourselves through music (you were obsessed with Jeff Buckley), photography (I couldn’t stop taking pictures of you), hanging out in Washington Square Park, and all the weird things we did to make money. I learned more about myself that year than any other. Yet, somehow, it all fell apart.

Story
After a botched escape plan from her boarding school, Abigail is stunned to discover the school is actually a cover for an elite spy ring called The Center, along with being training grounds for future spies. Even more shocking? Abigail's mother is a top agent for The Center and she has gone MIA, with valuable information that many people would like to have - at any cost. Along with a former nemesis and charming boy from her grade, Abigail goes through a crash course in Spy Training 101, often with hilarious - and sometimes painful - results.

Story
I've lost my family, my wealth, and the place I've called home for the past five years. Now I’ve moved back to where it all began...with the guys I thought I’d never see again. Abel, Ronan, Wells, and Bishop were my friends at one time. I was the only girl they would let into their inner circle. Now they hate me. They think I’m a traitor. And I don’t know why. But I am bound and determined to find out.

Story
Charlotte has spent her 20s adrift, searching for a spark to jump-start her life and give her a sense of purpose. She’s had as many jobs as she’s had bad relationships, and now she’s feeling especially lost in her less-than-glamorous gig at a pie-and-fry joint in Los Angeles, where the uniforms are bad and the tips are even worse. Then she collides - literally - with Adam, an intriguing, handsome, and mysterious painter.

Creepy short story
This would be an awesome beginning of a new series. It’s creepy and a bit scary with a lot of weird thrown in for good measure.

The Portrait
A short but creepy horror tale, aimed at the YA crowd. Karen is attending a summer camp for budding artists and her roommate is a little too weird for most people. The story is pretty good and has the requisite twist at the end that most horror fans like, but I would have liked a little more to the story.
The narrator does a pretty good job, but her voice was a little too "valley girl" for my taste. I was given the chance to listen to this audiobook by the author/narrator/publisher and chose to review it.

Suspenseful
This was one amazing short story. Horror at its best. The characters and plot complemented each other. The narrator ‘s voice definitely helped.

Intriguing short story
The main character is sent away to art camp. Her roommate creates art while in trances. The main character is haunted by the Portrait. I enjoyed the this intriguing short story, the story telling, and narration. Check out this about 30 minutes short story!

Summer Camp Horror
I loved the new twist on the typical summer camp horror story. I could see this as a movie. L.V. Pires has a great visual style. Very creepy and a great payoff at the end. The narration was great!

Great horror short!
Great short story! Very well written with wonderful character development. It left me wanting a little more, but that can be a good thing in a horror story. The narrator was super as well. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more by L.V. Pires!

A creepy portrait.
I was gifted an Audible version of this book from the author through Story Origin. The narrator has an excellent voice, just not for horror. She did not,at all, make this story sound spooky.
I wonder, if I would have read it myself, if it would have been better. Her portrait was creepy. The story is very short. The characters are still a mystery to me. They were not at all fleshed out. But I enjoyed the listen.
