What is the meantime? According to author and inspirational speaker Iyanla Vanzant, being in the "meantime" means being in a state of limbo. Rather than wallow in confusion, Vanzant encourages you to use the meantime to prepare yourself for true love. The first order of business is to clean house. Room by room, Vanzant takes you through a metaphorical cleaning of the soul. This way, when love finally comes knocking on the front door, you'll have a clean house to welcome it into.

Alan became a pastor in the church where his family had been members for years. Then, when Lisa had an affair, the heartache and the tension was very public.

Story
What’s Wrong With Your Dad is the true story of what it was like growing up and surviving a family with both alcoholism and Borderline Personality Disorder. It is told in the first person in a very conversational way, like the author and the reader are just sitting over coffee talking. It explains in clear layman’s terms the behaviors of both alcoholism and Borderline Personality Disorder and lets the reader know in no uncertain terms that the behavior was not in any way created by any adult child of either an alcoholic or BPD.

Tremendous insight, mandatory reading!
The real love series is absolutely phenomenal. The concepts seem so simple, yet they are very challenging to demonstrate in our own lives, mostly because how we've been taught. Dr. Baer shows us how to implement them in our lives. Lots of real life examples!
I would recommend the series to anybody, weather you have major problems or whether you just want to be happier in life. So happy it's now on audible!
Very rarely do I recommend a book as a must read for everyone! This is one of those books!

I would not recommend any of the books in this series for numerous reasons (wish I had known before buying so many!) But this one is particularly bad. It's basically an entire book about how amazing and life changing this system is, but doesn't teach the system at all (not that the system will work for everyone anyway, so don't believe the hype). If you want to learn the system get one of the other books, don't waste your money on a huge advertisement.
