About this listen
Alan and Lisa Robertson, members of America's favorite back woods family and the Duck Commander Clan, take on the topic of relationships as they share the secrets that saved their marriage.
Infidelity, deceit, distrust, and shame. Unfortunately, these are recurring themes in many of today's marriages in America - even in the family-values-promoting, Christian-based Robertson family.
With a romance that began in junior high, the couple got off to a rocky start but soon settled into married life and had two baby girls. Alan became a pastor in the church where his family had been members for years. Then, when Lisa had an affair, the heartache and the tension was very public.
But this is not a book about a marriage gone wrong. It is a candid story of rescued love and renewed commitment. After nearly getting divorced, Alan and Lisa came to terms with what went wrong in their marriage and both began the hard work of making it right. Now married for 29 years, Alan and Lisa counsel couples in trouble and speak across the country - openly sharing their hardships, their journey to renewed commitment, and a thriving marriage.
Includes forewords by Korie, Kay, and Missy Robertson.

It’s all about the food…. For the Robertsons, family is typified by the dinner table, where both food and fables are dished up with equal care. Anyone with a good story - whether it be a hunting escapade or one of the children’s antics - is welcome to share. And that’s what this family is all about - sharing, caring for one another, and the love of good food. Chapters are built around recipes that represent each stage of the Robertson life. What do faith, family, ducks, and money have in common? Korie and Willie Robertson!

After Phil Robertson quoted Scripture in an interview with a national magazine, his hit show, Duck Dynasty, put him on “indefinite hiatus.” Phil immediately knew what had happened: he had become a target of cancel culture. Since that time, Phil has spoken out against public shaming, strategic campaigns to get Bible-believing employees fired, and other tactics that are wreaking havoc in our society. In a deeply divided country, with so many bent on condemning and silencing others, Phil calls for us to carry out the unifying message of Jesus Christ.

Story
We live in a fractured country, a country in which identity politics, creeping socialist policies, toxic social media, and the vast partisan divide threaten the very fabric of America. After decades of political decay and of losing sight of our first principles, the American people are suffering from runaway debt, increased rates of depression, broken families, moral decay, and more. In Jesus Politics, Phil Robertson provides an alternate path: a radical call for Christians to use their freedoms to advance the agenda of the King and win back the divided soul of America.

Life often looks so very different than we hoped or expected. Some events may simply catch us off guard for a season, but others shatter us completely. We feel disappointed and disillusioned at best and overwhelmed and hopeless at worst. We quietly start to wonder about the reality of God’s goodness and why he allows us to suffer and experience grief and loss. Lysa TerKeurst understands this deeply. But after many tears, godly counseling, and prayerful seeking, she's also discovered that our disappointments can be the divine appointments our souls need to radically encounter God.

Encouragement for all marriages and families.
This book offers a deep, intimate look into Al & Lisa's life, followed by a message of hope and healing that can only come from God. Whether you are enjoying a thriving marriage right now, or ready to end your marriage, they will challenge you and offer hope for the future. This is a great read/listen for all. Having read "The Women of Duck Dynasty", "A New Season" far exceeds that one in terms of depth, honesty, and real life application. Thank you, Al & Lisa.
Note: This would not be appropriate to listen to in the presence of young children.

Thank you
My fav Robertson book so far. Probably because I related to it so much. I needed the healing & this has greatly contributed to a pivotal time for me. I loved the end, about marriage. Although Im divorced & have no desire to reenter a marriage, I do want to be a respectable & loveable person. God bless you both✝

Raw
Great book. Unfiltered story of redemption in Christ. We all fall short of the glory of God, but he saves us anyway. We see this in this story of marriage.

Part of my life
As I listened to this book it made me cry and it opened my eyes to so much more. At times you feel as though you are the only person going through so much pain when in reality so many others are going through the same things as you. What a blessing this book was to me and I would encourage you to listen or read it. Rose W

REAL and GODLY
The telling of Al and Lisa’s story through their book is fully of raw honesty. It is also full of real and Godly encouragement and wisdom from couples at any stage or the length in their relationship. They point to the Gospel through repentance, forgiveness and restoration and God’s mercy as faithfulness in each chapter. Everything from sexual abuse, emotional abuse, abortion, child birth trauma, adultery, betrayal, theft...it’s all covered in an open and honest way. They are living proof that healing through Christ is possible for every one and that God is good!

The power of forgiveness
This story gave me hope and peace in my decision to stand firm in His grace. God laid on my heart to fight to save my marriage. In a world filled with people that would just walk away, this gave me courage to stay. Thank you Al and Lisa for being brave enough to share all the details of your story to help us going through the darkness.
