About this listen

Jimmy’s an EMT - an emergency medical technician. He wants to make a difference; to make it better for trauma victims. Help them to have a better experience. Ease the suffering.

He seeks guidance. Struggles with his own weaknesses. Encounters resistance from fellow coworkers. Discovers they are just as much victims of trauma as the patients whose lives they work to save. All except one, that is. Joe.

Joe, the hard ass. Joe, the cruel, heartless, apathetic thorn in Jimmy’s side. One day, they get a call, and Jimmy is faced with the unthinkable.

Telling your story

Power of touch through your story. Joe’s story is heartbreaking... you having him tell you “his” story, right after he experienced it, felt unnecessary, as if it could cause more harm than good. What I realized during your telling it was that it was necessary for Joe to process the hurt where it was so it could heal where it is... stoping the darkness from sinking deeper. Thank you for writing your story. It has helped me.
BTW, lately I’ve been experiencing angry old ladies getting pissed at silly things and telling me to fuck off... random ladies I don’t know. I’ve been consciously attempting to not contribute to the problem but it keeps happening... just like the lady in your story who keeps asking for money and continually getting rear ended and paid short. I love old ladies, my mom, in-laws, ect. What do you think? Thanks again for writing your story, cheers to you mate.
