About this listen

An important notion that Søren Kierkegaard explored is Øieblikket, translated as "the moment" or "the blink of an eye". It consists of an actual experience in the individual’s life, yet it cannot be understood as a mere link in the chain of successive moments. Rather, its crucial importance can only grasped when perceived as open to eternity, as the elevation of a mere instant in time to a defining moment which effects a complete change of direction in one’s life.

This book is a compilation of sections from Kierkegaard's Attack on Christianity. If I had known that I may not have purchased the title since I was already planning on reading AoC. That being said I am glad I did not know because I love this audiobook! Even though I have already read AoC I have re-listened to this audiobook multiple times. It is an excellent taste of Kierkegaard's distain for the state church and his hilarious use of sarcasm. I would say most (~80%) of my favorite moments from AoC are included in this book and I highly recommend this book to anyone who is new to Kierkegaard (although you may want to buy it with money vs. spending a credit on a 48 min book).

Great but short Kierkegaard compilation

This is difficult to understand in it's fashion of presentation to the reader/listener....... which isn't made any easier by the authors drabness in all of his expressions.

Difficult to understand 💔🙏🏻

No pauses. No inflection. No emotion. Speeding through. Was this a man or machine reading the text?

As for what I listened to, Kierkegaard is great as usual.

Couldn’t finish due to reader

Terrible reader: He is blandly reading with no attempt at performative speech. Also too fast.

Poor Reader

Yeah this is why I’ve canceled my Audible subscription. Just as much garbage on here as on Amazon

just absolutely horrible narration

The voice itself is OK, but the speed and missing spaces between sentences and sometimes in sentences made me think it must be a machine reading this. Also the lack of feeling during the reading, as if it was a matter of getting to the end fast. Did not enjoy this book for those reasons.

Not sure if this is machine reeading
