Old-fashioned manifesting

The concepts in these works by Nietzsche stood out to me as a way of explaining what many today call “manifesting”—we all have this force within us that can drive us to meet our goals. Essentially, anything is possible as long as we have the will. The dense information in this collection was easy to understand thanks to the relaxed and easy nature of the narrator’s tone. These works are definitely worth a listen, especially in today’s world.

Excellent listen!

Friedrich Nietzsche has always been an excellent writer. However, this work of art was brought to life by the Narrator Gregory.
I enjoyed the introduction (about Nihilism) and now have a whole different perspective on many things!
It was worth the time taken to listen, and I'll do it again!

Very good narration, and very good picks for of Nietzche work. Would definitely recommend

Narrator affectation creates an uphill battle

Excellent selection of works. Sadly, I feel the narrator's style is just direly miscalculated for comprehension of this sort of dense material, and his aloof news-anchor-trained cadence has him rushing terribly quickly past Nietzsche's most profound statements, but then pausing for affected embellishment in the most pointless of places.
He has a nice accent But I wish his emphasis and speech patterns reflected and aided any comprehension of the texts, rather than making the task much more difficult.

The perfect way to understand Nietzsche

I have always struggled to fully understand the dense philosophical texts and they always require multiple read-throughs. Having this audiobook has been super helpful because I can add it to my tool kit of understanding authors like Nietzsche! As a bonus, the narrator kind of sounds like Chidi from The Good Place so I get to pretend that he is reading me this classic work of philosophy!

Easy Access to Nietzsche

This is an academic text, so the potential for exceptional narration is pretty limited. Still, Mr. Luzitano does a better job than many for this genre. In addition, we get more than 40 hrs (1846 pages) that makes the works of one of the greatest thinkers of the 19th century accessible to an english speaking audience. If you are at all curious about Nietzsche, this is a great way to start exploring this branch of modern philosophy. And while I can’t judge the accuracy of the translations used, I can say that I found them to be clear and easy to understand. Over all, this is a great collection.

I was given this free advance review/listener copy (ARC) audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Justified Cynicism of injured Philosopher

Content good. Reader flat. Translation obscuring. Prose overly glowingly flowery. Difficult to want to follow reasoning.
