About this listen
These principles of war were formulated by Carl von Clausewitz, an officer in the Napoleonic Wars. They quickly became a paradigm for developing strategy and tactics by virtually every military in the world and remain so to this day. In this study, one of our premier warriors and a founding member of the US Army Delta Force, LTG (R) W.G. "Jerry" Boykin, addresses the military application of these principles. I then elaborate on how each can be applied to virtually any other endeavor such as business, sports, missions, or even government programs.

Yet Marxist propaganda is widely lauded and promoted in American schools and universities by the media, entertainment, and even representatives of our own government.

In Supreme Command, Eliot Cohen examines four great democratic war statesmen - Abraham Lincoln, Georges Clemenceau, Winston Churchill, and David Ben-Gurion - to reveal the surprising answer - the politicians. The generals may think they know how to win, but the statesmen are the ones who see the big picture.

Story
The Great War of 1914-1918 was the first mass conflict to fully mobilize the resources of industrial powers against one another, resulting in a brutal, bloody, protracted war of attrition between the world's great economies. Now, 100 years after the first guns of August rang out on the Western front, historian William Philpott reexamines the causes and lingering effects of the first truly modern war.

Story
When we think about the future of war, the military and Washington and most everyone gets it backwards. We think in terms of buying single military systems, such as fighter jets or aircraft carriers. And when we think about modernizing those systems, we think about buying better versions of the same things. But what really matters is not the single system but "the battle network"—the collection of sensors and shooters that enables a military to find an enemy system, target it, and attack it.

Eisenhower's Armies is the story of two very different armies learning to live, work, and fight together even in the face of serious strategic disagreements. The Anglo-American relationship from 1941-1945 proved to be the most effective military alliance in history. Yet there were also constant tensions and disagreements that threatened to pull the alliance apart.

The narrator was terrible
My husband and I tried twice to listen to this while traveling but the narrator was actually annoying like nails on a board.
