About this listen

Richard Dreyfuss, Marsha Mason, and Neil Simon strike comic gold in this classic tale of a married couple trying to survive life in their New York apartment building. Fresh from their wildly successful West End revival, Dreyfuss and Mason "effortlessly convey the abrasions - and affection - of a longtime marriage," says Variety.(P)2000 L.A. Not Simon’s Best

Despite great performances, this play really isn’t as funny as I was expecting. Although the audience seemed absolutely falling on the floor in this performance of LATW, I found the punch lines overworked. Still a great look at a mid-century NYC marriage.
