Publisher's summary

Aspiring college athlete Aileen Nessa is finding the recruiting process beyond daunting. Being ranked #10 in the world for the 100m hurdles at the age of 18 is not a fluke, even though she believes that one race, where everything clinked magically together, might be. American universities don't seem to think so. Letters are pouring in from all over the country.

As she faces the challenge of differentiating between a college's genuine commitment to her or just empty promises from talent-seeking coaches, Aileen heads to Gatica State University, a Division One school, on a recruiting trip.

The university's athletic program boasts one of the top sprint coaches in the country. The beautiful old buildings on campus and Ivy League smarts seems so above her little Ohio town upbringing. All Aileen needs to convince her to sign her letter of intent is a recruiting trip that takes her breath away.

Tyrone Jensen is the school's NCAA champion in the hurdles and Jim Thorpe recipient for top defensive back in football. His incredible ocean blue eyes and confident smile make Aileen stutter and forget why she is visiting GSU. His offer to take her under his wing, should she choose to come to Gatica, is a temping proposition that has her wondering if she might be making a deal with an angel or the devil himself.

*This is NOT erotica* It is a new adult and college sport romance.

For mature readers only. There are sexual situations, but no graphic sex.

ok story, distracting narration

Overall the story is interesting talking into account it's YA. The characters were likable and the only reason I finished the book because the narration is highly distracting. The quick cadence had me checking the speed in the app. Then narration would slow down in spots when she nearly trips over word hurdles

Boring

The narrator was not very good. She doesn't pronounce all of her words clearly and she runs them together sometimes. The writing is immature and the story is boring.

Who picks the readers? Awful

I keep hoping the books will be so good I can ignore the readers chosen for the stories. More often than not I get why Kindle/Audible offer $1.99 add on for the Audible portion. This reader is one of the worst I have ever heard. There have to be more actors out there that could actually read the book without a staccato style and blah voice.

I couldn't care less what the book was about, I had to stop listening to it. I guess I get to add this one back to my reading list only.

Terrible narrator

I received this book from a Facebook party so thankfully I didn't waste any money on it. I couldn't make it past the third chapter. The story was boring and the Narrator was awful. I listen to a lot of audio books and I'm not sure how this girl got the job. Listen to the sample if there is one and you will see what I mean. I have no words to explain just how bad this is. I might look into the ebook but I doubt it. Ugh, bums me out I wanted another good sports book like The Deal.

Not for me

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. Well I have a hard time reviewing a book that annoyed me so much that I could finish it. The narrator was reading way too fast. Also her pitch and tone actually hurt my ears. I honestly had to turn this book off and couldn't even finish it. Sorry but I think the book would have been better with a different narrator.
