All Time Favorite Series

The Remaining was the best series I ever listened to. (I have approximately 200 audio books.) I am very sad it ended, but I was very pleased with the matter in which it ended. Very love/hate.

The narrator Christian Rummel was fantastic. DJ Molles is an extremely gifted writer. He really summed everything up well in my opinion. I was inspired by the patriotism in the hearts of the main characters.

I liked the feeling I had at the end of the book. I was at peace with the story and felt that everything was at it should have been. I would have liked to see Sam and Lee become closer, especially at the end. I do, however think there has always been an understanding between the two characters. At first, I wished there would have been more at the end into the mind of Abby. But part of the beauty of the way the series ended was the ability to fill in the blanks yourself.

ONE MORE!

For me, The Remaining is the type of books i have audible for. This series has been a fun, entertaining , right dosage of everything, fun series: however, it needs one more book in the series..the fans need one more...captain Hardin isn't done yet...the mission is not complete. Great regardless, but outstanding if DJ Molles gives us the Final stand-off between the East Coast survivors and the "president's" forces, the infected and the disorganized Lords Army in an epic clash for all the marbles that fans need!

Love the series

Great book and performance. The only issue I have was the over the top long drawn out issues characters had with themselves. Not sure how else to say it. However I will be waiting for the next one. Write faster D.J.

Tough

This was very difficult story to
listen. Too much sorrow too much horror too much disappointment to gruesome. But that being said it was very enjoyable. The narrator is awesome and it still leaves you with the feeling of hope. The amount of those good people that were killed is horrendous. Pursued at your own risk. Be prepared for a lot of heartache.

Great series! Overly Descriptive :(

I love this series. Lots a drama. Lots of action. No one is safe from death. Life just isn’t fair in this broken down version of the US. I like how stupid people get rewarded for their actions. Lee even has a saying for it although can’t quote exactly. Similar to play stupid games, get stupid prizes. Like any zombie apocalypse novel there are layered threats.

The one thing I don’t like though….description. I love thoroughly fleshed out world but when it takes you several paragraphs to get to the zombie eating, murder, or anything it just drives me nuts. I’m patient but this book and this series in general stretches the boundaries of that patience to the point I had to fast forward just to get to the part where someone was killed or they got away. It’s like experiencing the slow scrambling away in horror movies but in written form. Just stop describing the scene and get on with it. Other than that this book is great.
