About this listen

In a seedy tavern, two men meet.

One, an old and seasoned guide who knows the way to a tomb where riches are rumored to exist. A place somewhere on the fabled mountain called the Horn of Torgiv, in a region notorious for evil things and dark deeds.

The other is a mysterious young man named Halsedric, who seeks something other than wealth. What he seeks is something old, dark, and diabolical.

What waits in the dark depths of the tomb? And will it lead to their ruin?

Journey to the Horn of Torgiv and discover the dark secret hidden beneath the gray stone of the mountain.

Spell Binding Tale

A compelling adventure tale full foreboding evil and a protagonist that was equally as interesting. I found it fully engaging.

Rich Classic Fantasy

If this book were food then it would probably be a very dark chocolate cake. The story is filled with memorable descriptions, realistic and deep characters, and a plotline that is worthy of these things. Much of what is called fantasy now is written, it would seem, for teens, this is definitely for experienced readers. But it is also a very moral story, nothing funny here, just solid readable fantasy that will leave you with rich images when you are done. Evil is evil and good is good as it should be. If you like Token or The Wheel of Time then you will like this book.

Very enjoyable fantasy adventure!

As a lover of fantasy, Herman P. Hunter has given us a great short adventure story filled with an amazing cast of characters and an intriguing lead character that will be perfect to follow over multiple adventures to come. Steve Fortune's contribution as the audio narrator really added to the immersion of Herman's writing and gave some rather impressive performances to each of their personalities. I loved it!
