About this listen

You either build your world or you burn in someone else's. With every fleeting moment, the whole world draws closer to being overcome by the deadliest virus known to man.

Steele's family home lies in burnt ruins on the shore of Lake Michigan. His group hunts for his missing mother in the apocalyptic wilderness filled with the dead. Instead he finds a group of refugees badly in need of his skills learned in the shadow war on terror, for they are persecuted at every step by the Chosen, a group of fanatics hell-bent on creating God's Kingdom in the rubble of society.

Dr. Joseph Jackowski finds himself in a dangerous battle against both the deadly virus and the clock inside the bowels of the Cheyenne Mountain Complex. His team struggles as their own members fall victim to the virus in a race to discover a vaccine.

Colonel Kinnick rushes his paltry forces into the rocky passes of Colorado to hold the dead off long enough for a vaccine to be found. If he fails, the Vice President will burn the entire Western Seaboard into the blazing inferno of a nuclear holocaust. Who will rise? The Living or the Dead?

Listen to the series that listeners are calling, "An epic, fast-paced adventure, featuring a diverse cast of characters, non-stop action, and of course, zombies - this apocalyptic thriller is a sure victory...."

In the epic third installment of the End Time Saga, Daniel Greene brings the brutalized remainders of humanity even closer to the edge of defeat.

Couldn't Stop Listening!

I was so excited to get my hands on the third installment after waiting a year and I was shocked with how much I loved it from start to finish (in one non-blinking day)! The Rising is an excellent study in character development and surprised me several times with the suspenseful storyline. The characters are faced with incredibly difficult choices and Greene continues to illustrate the human struggle that we might not have been able to imagine if it weren't for his ability to anticipate and describe the reality of this otherwise surreal situation and make it believably horrifying. I was upset that it was over (my eyes were not) and I can't wait to start Book Four!!

Fun listen

I love this story but I have to say everything Gwen does is infuriating and her character is seriously annoying. I wouldn’t mind if she didn’t make it...
Other than that, all the characters and story lines are great and if you’re looking for an easy thrill this story is perfect.

EXCELLENT SERIES!

This was definitely an above par Zombie Apocalypse trilogy/series. Almost immediately, I was captured by the intense graphic and (sometimes literally) explosive Zombie interactions w/ the human survivors. The excellent character development created a relatable human side to all of them... good and ill willed alike. I felt like I knew what made many of the characters tick, as well as their strengths and weaknesses.

Unfortunately, all good things must come to end. However, the ending was a a bit of a cliffhanger... just say'n... : )

Bravo and kudos to the exceptionally talented narrator, Mr. Keith Szarabajka! This series would not have been nearly the thrilling listening experience it was without his talents behind the mic.! There are multiple, complex and multidimensional characters throughout this trilogy, (both male and female ) who have well developed, strong personalities, unique unto themselves, and what a great job he did making it easy getting to know and appreciate each one.

Please keep sending your work our way, Mr. Greene! #Stellar!

Gwen is a baby

Gwen is very childish, rude , and ungrateful for what he has done for her. she spend most of the book crying that he does not talk to her then don't don't tell she is pregnant until almost the end.

Better, but I still don't like Gwen

Book 3 was better, but I still don't like Gwen. Now she seems to be going crazy and she got Max killed. Then you add another Conniving, weak woman named Tess. I really hate weak female characters!!!!
