Publisher's summary

A graveyard of spaceships, abandoned by the mysterious Fleet thousands of years earlier. Boss calls it "the Boneyard". She needs the ships inside to expand her work for Lost Souls Corporation. Yash Zarlengo thinks the Boneyard will help her discover if the Fleet still exists.

Boss and Yash, while exploring the Boneyard, discover a small ship with a powerful and dangerous problem: the ship's active anacapa drive.

To escape the Boneyard, Boss must deal with the drive. Which means she'll have to dive the ship on limited time and under extremely dangerous conditions. And she can't go alone.

A heart-stopping adventure that continues the award-winning Diving Universe series by Kristine Kathryn Rusch.

It makes sense

The last book generally left me wondering how the stories fit together but this one brought it together. I would have rather had the two book as one and the stories intermixed. Overall I really enjoy the Diving series.

Another enjoyable Diving Universe story

Once again we get to see part of Kris Rusch’s Diving Universe with Boss at our sides. Always enjoyable.

My only problems with this story was that it ended too soon. The novel was a short one and I would’ve liked to be here longer. The other was the use of present tense which is always a bit jarring for me. All in all, minor things.

The Boss is Back!

I love Boss! I love Jennifer Van Dyck!

I have one major gripe with this installment: It's way too short. Not that there'd be any way of making it longer without adding significantly to the plot.

Having said that, I really enjoy how this book, along with the previous non-Boss book expand the questions of the Diving Universe, what the heck the Anacopa drive is and in fact, where the whole series is headed.

This was, for me, another one of those "drive around the block a few more times" books.

Seams unfinished

The ending does not seam finished, like a cliff hanger. We do not know where this might be going or how long it will take to get there. How long do we need to wait for the next installment?

Thrilling ride

Great story telling. Another grounded crafted story. It has been a long time since I read a story such as this. I wish Mrs Rousch would do more dive novels. The part where Boss and Elaine dive the runabout ad get hurt was amazing.
