About this listen

The Battle for New Canaan is over, but the war has just begun....

Tanis and Sera have taken the I2 to Khardine, the new capital of the Transcend, and must now travel to the Inner Stars and meet with Scipian Empress, Diana - who they hope will be an ally to the Transcend.

With the Trisilieds Kingdom, the Hegemony of Worlds, and the Nietzschean Empire all aligned with the Orion Guard - not to mention a civil war brewing in the Transcend - they will need all the help they can get to secure the Inner Stars.

But Empress Diana has her own plans for the Inner Stars, and while they may dovetail with the Transcend's for now, they may not always do so....

What a roller coaster ride just when you think you’ve gotten it figured out, wham off on another tangent you could not predict

The Saga continues, one hell of a series

Im really enjoying this series. Its staying pretty consistent in its progression, content and character development. The one thing that i take a bit of umbrage with is the amount of content for the price. Im not asking for them all to be put in one set or anything like shes done with alot of her other series (whos value i really do appreciate). But maybe combine 2 books into one 'publishers pack' like J N Chaney does with alot of his shorter books. Its just hard for me to spend a credit on a book that wont even last me a full shift at work. Its not a big deal, the way i look at it is after all the combined sets ive gotten from this author the price prolly evens out in the end and these books are good enough to justify me spending a lil more for a little less. Just putting that out there.

Very enjoyable as per usual

This author has dreamed up so many ideas! Her stories make others seem like children’s books. I highly recommend this series to everyone.

Creativity Abounds

The complications just keep on coming. Enemies multiply, the bad guys become good guys, and everything becomes complicated. The battles become more predictable but are still entertaining. There is so much happening that the books start seeming to short to the reader in-me. It is reaching a point that there are so many characters maintaining an awareness of who is who and how they relate to each other is getting lost. . It is still enjoyable but reaching a point where it is potentially just chaotic.

And the plot thickens.

This book sees our two favorite girls going from combat in space to the halls of politics and planetary society. And while it isn’t as much action, it was still pretty interesting. Seeing more of the Inner Stars nations. It was a fun shift and it kind of feels like Cooper wanted to give us and the characters “a break.”
But I still had fun and I am still enjoying the ride!

Combat to Politics…

This book should have been twice as long. it feels unnecesarily dense, as if whole side-stories have been cut out

way too short
