About this listen

Rika is mech-meat, a cyborg killing machine, created by the Genevian military and cast aside when the war was lost.

This volume contains the first three novels of the Rika’s Marauders series:

  • Rika Outcast
  • Rika Redeemed
  • Rika Triumphant

Embark on an epic journey with Rika as she goes from a young woman lost and alone to the leader of an elite special-forces team, ultimately becoming the commander of a company of mechanized warriors.

Set in the Aeon 14 universe, this story is an excellent place to join the journey or a fantastic way to get your next Aeon 14 fix.

An o.k. story in it's genre.

I believe I am being fair to the author/narrator. I might have marked them one star in each of the three categories. Quite frankly, the story really dragged along. That made it feel like it was longer than it should have taken. Anyway, that's my take. You might get a lot more out of it, therefore I do recommend this book. Now for the obligatory: "I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review." "I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator.”

We need more of Rika's Series!

Very good story. I liked the narrator. The dates and locations between each scene got a little annoying after awhile. But I would buy the rest of Rikas books on audible in a heart beat. Hint hint.

Excellent tale of mech warfare

M. D. Cooper has constructed a visionary and engaging universe with his Aeon 14 books, and Rika's Marauders is a series within that. Rika herself is relatable and determined...almost like if Honor Harrington had a horrible childhood and was forced into being a mech. That being said, as much as the stories are action-packed sci-fi, it's Cooper's ability to create and maintain engaging characters that really makes the narrative engaging.

Stinnett does a solid job with the narration, not really detracting or distracting from the story. Based on some reviews I was a little worried, but after I got used to her delivery (which happened pretty quickly) I forgot about her for the most part and enjoyed the story. Solid (but not exceptional) job on the narration.

All in all a fun listen and I look forward to listening to more books in the series.

Nice

Well this is nice and handy to be able to listen to all three books at once. I really enjoyed listening to this audio version and the narrator does a lovely job of bringing the characters to life.
