Wow wow wow, as this suspenseful cat and mouse book came to its final scene I was left totally shattered, utterly deflated and my heart went out to both of them. For all feisty London and cold-blooded Crewe had been through in their rollercoaster six month road together as jailer and captor, as possessor and slave, as man and woman and as lover and lover.. for it all to end like it did.. yikes cruel. It was meant to be London’s plan to escape, her unbroken oath, her only way out, it was an impossible plan that slowly began to work as she went to extreme lengths to lure Crewe in, to gain his trust and to make the impossible happen.. to make him fall in love with her. And, as Crewe’s walls slowly crumbled, it revealed a heart that had begun to beat again.. beat for one woman.. and that woman was going to destroy him.

Handsome sexy Crewe had his faults - he was a cold ruthless alpha, an emotionally closed-off man, a business tycoon, Scottish royalty, a major underworld player and someone you didn’t mess with.. but that was all on the outside because hidden deep was more. He was the innocent little boy who had been left an orphan after his entire family had been slaughtered. He was the betrayed boyfriend whose heart had been shattered when his fiancé chose someone else. He was the man whose thoughts had begun to revolve around Lovely.. his possession his lover his world.. but that world was going to come crashing down around him.

And I don’t know what book three in this spectacular trilogy is going to reveal, what schemes will take place and what drama will unfold.. but I’m desperate and drooling to find out. This very talented Author has delivered a well thought out, well paced and gripping storyline that had some very hot and sensual scenes. Suspense, danger and drama also came from other directions and characters too. There was character development as their relationship deepened and evolved and the sexual chemistry was explosive as London and Crewe couldn’t keep their hands off each other. However, London was still a prisoner.. albeit a prisoner in a guided cage - but she hadn’t given up or given in.. she manipulated Crewe and I couldn’t fault her for it.. but I didn’t like it either. She had simply been an innocent pawn for his revenge.. but the white pawn had become the white Queen and she was about to make her move.. a move that will outwit the black King.. tumble him and nearly, - yes nearly, take him off the board and out of the game.

Worth a credit? Awesome storytelling, wonderful dual POV narration and ALL the feels.. so YES~YES~YES and I’m excitedly eyeing the final book in this bountiful trilogy, the suspense is absolutely killing me, as I’m desperate to find out what riches and spoils are waiting for me there.

Love this series my third time listen to this ,love the narrators what awesome job bringing this audiobook a live, I always look for audiobooks with these narrators, what a great author Penelope Sky love so far her books 📚 well worth my money 😘
