Story
After Tova Sullivan’s husband died, she began working the night shift at the Sowell Bay Aquarium, mopping floors and tidying up. Keeping busy has always helped her cope, which she’s been doing since her eighteen-year-old son, Erik, mysteriously vanished on a boat in Puget Sound over thirty years ago. Tova becomes acquainted with curmudgeonly Marcellus, a giant Pacific octopus living at the aquarium. Marcellus knows more than anyone can imagine but wouldn’t dream of lifting one of his eight arms for his human captors—until he forms a remarkable friendship with Tova.

Parnassus on Wheels is the story of a marvelous man, small in stature, wiry as a cat, yet Olympic in personality. Roger Mifflin is part pixie, part sage, part noble savage, and all God's creature. With his traveling book wagon, named Parnassus, he moves through the New England countryside of 1915 on an itinerant mission of enlightenment. Mifflin's delight in books and authors is infectious. With his singular philosophy and bright eyes, he comes to represent the heart and soul of the book world.

Shadowvale isn’t typical small-town America. The sun never shines, the gates decide who enters, magic abounds, and every resident bears some kind of curse. No one knows this as well as raven shifter Deacon Evermore, who, like everyone in his family, has a curse. While his position as Shadowvale’s peacekeeper lets him use that curse for good, he’d rather live anywhere else. He stays for his family but doubts he can last much longer.

Blue Brigham was the man of the farm from an early age, so it was easy to get swept up in his older-than-his-years charm all those years ago. But when it came down to it, legal wasn't enough to keep a town like theirs from talking, and Harper Haley just wouldn't risk going public with their brief affair. She'd packed up and left town to marry another man her own age, thinking she'd left the past behind. Blue thought he knew what he signed up for when he moved his sister back in at the farm after her husband left her for another woman, but when Harper shows up, he knows he's in for trouble, still holding onto the grudge from all those years before....

The Secret of the Quilt
A short and sweet cozy with a slight paranormal/magical feel. An old quilt in need of some repair brings together two people who have been best friends for years. Will this special quilt be the thing that moves their relationship forward?
Olivia Swift continues to give us interesting stories in this series. I’m already looking forward to checking out the next one.
Ginger Sue did a nice job with the narration. I enjoyed listening to her performance.

Short and sweet
Short story with a sweet message. The two main characters are best friends. They are given an old magical quilt. Unraveling the mystery of the quilt’s origins brought them closer to each other. Restoring the quilt to its original glory helped bring about their HEA. This is a fun story to listen to on the way to visit family during the holidays or as you wrap presents.

Short but good
This was a nice romance mystery book. It did seem a little slow at first and seemed like the story had to explain more to get to the point but it was still good. Character development was well done.

A lovely old quilt
A sweet story of love and a very old lovely quilt. When does a long standing friendship turn to love? The man of interest has loved her since he was a 10 y/o boy, his mom knows and even her sister and brother in law know it but the lady in question remains clueless. Than one day they found a very hard to find resale shop that his mom recommended. The store seemed uninteresting from the outside with its not so clean windows to its rather dark interior. Somehow, something almost magical occurs when they enter the shop. How lovely everything is, cost is so reasonable too plus there is just a hint of fragrance in the
air that is so pleasing to the senses. Enchanted our little lady purchases two quilts to sell in her own shop and than unexpectedly she finds a very old quilt in need of restoration by very loving hands but when they both touch the quilt they can hear the far off sound of bag pipes.

Romance - Yes, Mystery - Not So Much
The Secret of the Quilt is Olivia Swift's third book in the Blooms, Bones and Stones series. As with the earlier books in the series, this book has more of a romance feel than that of a mystery. As a point of fact, the focal point in this case is more of a puzzle than a true mystery as it revolves around a quilt that contains a secret message. Once the main couple, Rob Manners and Kim Summers, in this story solve the puzzle, they find out who the current descendant of the original owner's of the quilt is and get the story behind the quilt from her.
The author does a good job of character development and detailing the process that the couple and their friends use to decode the message and find the descendant but there was more focus on the changing relationship of the couple which went from longtime best friends to a budding romance. Unfortunately, the narration on this book was a bit too fast to understand and follow the story and there was very little change of voice between speaking characters.
I received a copy of this audiobook from Story Origin and the author in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Sweet Paranormal Cozy Mystery!
This is the fourth novella in the Blooms, Bones and Stones Cozy Mystery Series. The story is well written. The characters are interesting, and the paranormal twist is intriguing. This is a sweet paranormal cozy mystery with a little romance. Ginger Sue did a good job with the narration. She has a beautiful voice. Looking forward to listening to The Secret of the Pendant, the next book in the Series.

book 4
Book 4 in Swift's Blooms, Bones & Stones series and I have to say I think this is my favorite so far. While this can be read as a stand alone, several characters from previous books in this series return in each so to get the most from these characters and their history I would recommend reading in series order if able. This book focus' on main characters Kim and Rob who have been best friends. While Rob has loved Kim for years Kim is afraid to lose her best friend if the relationship changes. After visiting a creepy antique shop and getting quilts which Kim loves to restore things change and a mystery becomes one that needs to be solved. A fast paced, short read/listen but with plenty of detail. Good narration, smooth and easy to listen to without distraction (there was a blip where is sounded like the audio skipped but I didn't feel like I missed anything story wise). An overall good read.
