About this listen

Eli Bennett.

Magnetic. Outspoken. Infuriating.

Top-ranked college quarterback. Sexy. Funny.

Oh, and now my ex-boyfriend.

When he makes me choose between him or a once in a lifetime opportunity, I surprise us both and don’t choose him. He can’t tell me what to do. Besides, he’ll get over my so-called betrayal and we’ll be back together in no time.

But when I return from my European study abroad program, Eli is still angry. He wants me to apologize for leaving him. I want him to apologize for giving me an ultimatum. Looks like we’re at a standstill.

He’s playing the season of his life thanks to him channeling his anger into aggressiveness out on the field, and now he’s got NFL prospects. His every dream is coming true, but I know he misses me. He still wishes he had his parents’ approval. He’s on top of his game, but secretly, he’s miserable.

Until a life-changing moment has us both reconsidering what we’re going to do with our lives. And if we’re going to end up …

Together.

Loved it! 😍😍

Really enjoyed Eli & Ava's story. Also, enjoyed Jake & Diego's story...even though Jocelyn got on my nerves. The others were ok...Caleb was cool, Hayden just irritated me. But, all-in-all, a great series. of both The Callahan's & the College Years. Also, liked the epilogue about how everyone's lives has turned out. Narration was great...I wasn't even bothered by CJ's whiny voice!🤭Waiting to hear Beck's story.

Hate, loathe, despise.

I have loved all of the books until this one. Sorry. Ava was selfish from beginning to end. It was all about her. Her choices when they started dating. Her choices when she went to college. Eli went to Fresno for Ava. But somehow Eli is made out to be the bed guy. I really hate when writers refuse to hold women accountable. I am women hear me roar, but how dare a man be manly. Ugh.

How do people love this couple

This is the third book of the most toxic couple that I have read in a long time. In Autumn’s book Ava was supposedly a feminist, and in Ava’s book she goes along with everything that Eli demands. Their second encounter she runs from him and he chases her, grabs her, and demands she meet him the next night and give him the hoodie that she was wearing. The next night she’s in her parent’s cabin and having a nightmare only to wake up to him laying on top of her because he was ‘trying to wake her up’ and she ends up giving him her favorite hoodie because he wants it. This is how their entire relationship goes, he wants something and she goes along with it; when she stands strong on something then everyone thinks she’s being stubborn or selfish and talks her into doing what he wants.
Rinse and repeat.

God forbid that she goes to a college that’s not where Eli’s at and since she does how dare her for participating in activities so she can’t come visit him every weekend. She has the opportunity to go to Spain for the summer and Eli says that if she goes to Spain vs spending the time with him that they’re over. So because she finally took a stand and went to Spain everything is her fault. The third book of Eli being selfish and dictating Ava’s life and her friends/family start off supporting her when she doesn’t go along with something he wants and then somehow get her to realize that she should be going along with what Eli wants. Relationship goals! /s
