Publisher's summary

Chased by a ghostly skeleton, searching for a lost gold mine, and trying to keep their family together....

This faith-based kids mystery audiobook will have you on the edge of your seat with twists and turns and multiple challenges.

Jeremiah and Millie are excited about their parent's plan to move to the desert where they'll be able to ride their dirt bikes every day. They're also in support of the bigger dream: to provide a home to kids who need help. As former foster kids, they know what it's like to need a family.

But their outing to the desert to search for that property turns into a dangerous adventure when they're stalked by a ghostly skeleton. A high-speed chase and an old man with tales of gold and a secret key add to the mystery. Determined to find out who or what is behind the apparition trying to stop their family dream, they find themselves in deep trouble when their snooping goes too far.

Good story of mystery and faith

I enjoyed this story of the two children (Millie and Jeremiah) and their adventures in the desert. I especially enjoyed the Millie character with her anxious tendencies and inquisitive nature. The author handled the alternating POV well, and I was impressed by how she depicted the inner thoughts and feelings of the children distinctly.

At times, the story had a Scooby Doo mystery vibe that I thoroughly enjoyed so many years ago. I would recommend this book to children and/or Christian parents.

The narrator of this book also did a good job with the proper voice inflections and tone to suit the story.

Review for test group

This is the first Audible book I’ve heard from this series. Originally i got the books for my grandson which is in the target age group. I’ve since been following them too. Good story line that is easy to follow and keeps your interest. Sherry mixes in teaching lessons that are subtle enough not to discourage the listener. I hope that more of her books become available on audio books. Looking forward to them.
