About this listen

From the internationally best-selling author Samantha King, a gripping, emotional psychological thriller about a mother's worst nightmare.... The Sleepover asks "Who would you trust to keep your child safe?"

It was meant to be the best night of her son's life.... Was it his last?

Izzy is thrilled when her shy, 12-year-old son is invited for his first sleepover. Nick has spent years being isolated and picked on; he deserves a night of fun and friendship. But Izzy is also nervous: it's a year to the day since bullies put Nick in the hospital. She drops him off at his new best friend's house with mixed feelings. Arriving to collect him the following morning, her worst fears come true.... Nick isn't there. Who has taken her son? And will she ever get him back?

The story line is a good one but there should have been a twist at the end other than a deranged 12 year old I’ll try another book from same author

Flat ending

Such an amazing suspense mystery and it tugged at your heart. From Nick's trauma from bullying to Izzy's drive to protect her son it was as much an emotional journey as it was a thriller. Through most of the story I thought it was Jason and their teacher. The author does fantastic writing and knows how to work the plot twists. Truly an amazing story and an amazing narrator to perform it.

Emotional Rollercoaster

Last 2 hrs dragged & were boring & despite some predictability, we’re still delivered in a boring fashion.

Yawn

The story did a great job at not being a predictable thriller. I was intrigued until we got closer to the end. Terrible ending. It didn't seem to flow as well as the rest.

There were so many jumps and leaps to get to the finish that I feel like I have whiplash. Good story, I just feel there were parts missing.

Too much going on
