Not the most current version

I downloaded this audiobook thinking it would replace the printed book I received as part of my Managing Broker course-work (real estate), however the audiobook differs from the printed book I was sent by the school. The printed book I needed to replace was THIRD edition, which I later learned is not available on Audible. The first few chapters are identical to the 3rd edition book, but then it differs once the updates of the 3rd edition become clear. I had to continue using my printed book since my final exam would expect me to know what was in the 3rd edition of the book. I loved the first few chapters of the audiobook and was so disappointed it was the wrong version for my needs. It's still a very good audiobook for anyone planning to start a small business.

Decent Content, Distractingly Poor Reading

Would you try another book from Steven D. Strauss and/or Howard Rypp?

The information in the book may be decent but it is far overshadowed by the reading. Howard Rypp seems to be unfamiliar with the words and the functions of punctuation in certain parts of this book. The first few times I though that it was odd that it made it through editing, eventually it was so distracting that the content faded in the background as the speaking errors were highlighted over and over again. Some of these are minor mis-pronunciations that should have been edited out, others are so egregious that it makes me wonder if the audio was edited at all.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Such poor reading that it sounded at times as if he was unfamiliar with the English language.

Not worth your time

This book proves that someone can write an entire book without one original thought. The theme of the first several chapters is the same as every other business startup book, "don't do it". If he hasn't successfully scared you out of it after that, the author goes on to repeat every standard cliche about business there is. The narrator for this audio book has trouble with basic pronunciation and is about as dull as anyone could be on this topic.

You'd be better off with something else.

Hard to Listen to On my Garmin GPS

The voice of the reader was hard to hear on my Garmin GPS whileI was driving on the highway. I also felt that the reader sounded a bit boring at times. like a previous review I also found chapters rather void of information. The book is not useless but I was hoping for more.
