Publisher's summary

With his trademark blend of storytelling, faith and psychological insight, New York Times best-selling author Thomas Moore turns his attention to the most enduring story of them all: the birth of Christ in Bethlehem. Moore uses passages from the Gospels, archetypal stories and ancient myths to explore the idea that Christmas can only be fully understood as belonging to everyone - as a plan for the entire human race. This may be the most profound reflection on the meaning of Christmas in a generation.

A very good reflection on Christmas.

I listened to this book on Christmas day while driving to visit family. Thomas More gives a different view of Christmas and reminds us of its deeper meaning. It is a philosophical reflection on what Christmas can mean not only for the Christian but for any person who is looking for depth and spirituality.

Revisioning Christmas

This is a beautiful offering of ways to let Christmas be a time of renewal, recommitment, peace, and joy that so many of our songs and cards and wrapping paper tell us it can be.

Exceptional!

Absolutely exquisite in every way! So blessed and grateful for encountering these teachings. Thomas truly expresses and embodies, in thoughtful words and expansive ideas, the very soul of Christmas . . . Mystery is revealing its very Self everywhere and in everything if we but see with soulful eyes and an open heart.

Not a prostilitizing tome

But a deeper search into the light and soul of Christmas, the solstice, and the meaning in story
