About this listen

When Briggs, a Boston terrier, is stolen from his family's deck and shoved into a waiting car, a chain of events unfold that shakes the city. The Stolen Dog follows Tricia and Josh, Briggs' owners, as they fight a force unknown, enduring death threats, psychic interventions, false leads, fake set-ups, and the threat of dog fighting.

A heart-wrenching yet ultimately uplifting story of love, fearlessness, and hope - a captivating view of the best and worst of humanity - The Stolen Dog will make you hug your pets closer. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to animal rescues. The Stolen Dog is a true story.

Great book and narration

was like reading a great mystery! kept me on the edge of my seat. couldn't put it down (unusual for me). I laughed, cried, was disgusted by humanity and uplifted by humanity as well. loved the writing style. for those who say it was over the top emotional, I'm surprised. it was deep, felt the very deep range of emotions that you'd experience if this situation. thanks Tricia for the great book AND for donating the.proceeds.

As a Boston's dad I had to listen!

The writing is (needless to say) heartfelt and real almost painful at times. Dog lovers & folks who need to know the world still has selfless people will love this story!

Heart stopping and heart warming

I love this book. I was horrified about the dog being stolen and how some people could be so cruel when she put up signs with her phone number. Kids calling her and telling her they did horrible things to her dog turned my stomach. I was not surprised when the dog community stepped up; dog lovers are an awesome group of people who will do anything to help an animal in need. I am so glad there was a happy ending, and I admire the author’s determination and actions through this ordeal.

A must read for those who love dogs

An absolute riveting, true story about the abduction of a beloved pet. I can only hope that this story will bring more focus to the lives of dogs and the horror and sadness of things that can happen when our backs are turned or when people are just uncaring and even criminal. Dogs and others in the animal kingdom are so much more than just animals. Don't go thinking that this will be too sad, because the story ends on a high note, but the journey is heart wrenching. Guard you pets like you do your children. I knew exactly what the author was feeling throughout. The narrator was excellent. Bless Tricia O'Malley for sharing her story.

Excruciating

As a dog lover, I can honestly share this story was very hard to get through. The search is excruciating, and the author portrays her feelings very well. I truly don't know how she went on with her search. It's short enough to read at one sitting, and I kept reading until the end!

Boring

What a drama queen. Sorry all this just for a lost dog. I mean no detective work, nothing but agony and fliers, Facebook and phone calls. texts and messages. On and on... I won't reveal the ending
