Educational and Clever

Dr. Seuss is most children's' first introduction to literature, and this is the perfect way for young minds to learn where books come from, and how people just like them can turn their life experiences into magic by using their imagination. Amba Brown's words adeptly imitate the whimsical rhyme and meter of Seuss, and James Voltz's charming voice makes the listening experience as pleasant as a lullaby. A treat for the precocious young Seuss fan and anyone young at heart.

An amazing short story you've never heard of!

This interesting and surprising historical review of how Dr.Seuss came to be is a must listen! I learned several new things and thoroughly enjoyed the storytelling and the narrators use of classic Dr. Seuss catchphrases.

Using Dr. Seuss’s own style to shortly tell his love story.

This is an interesting story book. It uses Dr. Seuss’s own writing style to describe his life story. It’s a pretty short story, similar to Dr. Seuss’s stories where he kept them short.

Generally speaking, it’s an interesting take on writing the biography of an author. Using the authors style to tell his life story.

Fun Bio

I’ve always wanted to know more about Dr. Seuss and I’m glad this book did so in a way to honor him. Rhyming. Just wish it was longer!

Great Read. Learned A Lot!

Being voted least likely to succeed at college (can you imagine?!) didn't stop Seuss from throwing his friends a gin party, and of course, proving them all wrong! "Oh the Places You'll Go" has even more meaning to me now!

A Dr. Seuss Biography in Seussian Style

I received a review copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Overall, not a bad listen. I think it's a particularly good story for children who want to learn more about Dr. Seuss.

If children are the intended audience, then it's perfectly written. That being said, a lot is glossed over and the truth about a great deal of his life is 'massaged' to make a few things more palatable.

That being said, the research is clearly there, and it does present a very cursory overview of the entire life of Dr. Seuss. I think it's worth a listen, by both kids who want to learn more about him and adults who can appreciate the fitting tribute.
