What other book might you compare The Supreme Macaroni Company to and why?

I feel that Adriana's books have a similar theme and I would probably compare this book to The Shoemaker's Wife, in that both women hesitate to get involved with their husbands and then fall deeply in love with them, subsequently losing them.

What does Cassandra Campbell bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Cassandra Campbell has read most of Ms. Trigiani's books and does a good job though she does not compare to Ms. Trigiani herself.

It is frustrating when authors repeat the same theme in numerous books. It makes them to some degree, predictable. I find that somewhat annoying. However, I did enjoy the book and enjoy the characters.

Sorry that this is the final book in the Valentine series. Trigiani's story wraps things up (to a point) and left me hoping that someday another book would join the series. I'm going to miss these characters!
Cassandra Campbell's narration is wonderful - glad I decided to listen. Just a heads up: have some tissues nearby.

I’m never disappointed with stories from Adriana Triagiani. Her stories about Italian family life are humorous, interesting and filled with all types of love. This trilogy was an enjoyable, easy read.

Listened to the first two books in the series and loved the narrator. This reader whined and her accents insulted and parodied the characters. I could not listen to more than an hour and a half and went to the library to check out and finish the book. The book was much better when I could hear the voice of the original reader in my mind.

It wasn’t’t one of her best, but still good. Her description of Italy was beautiful. Gianluca Vechiarelli was hard to like because of his chauvinistic attitude.
