A marriage made in heaven, or hell?

1075 and Dowager Queen Edith has died. Her niece Gunnhild longs to leave Wilton Abbey, but is her suitor, Breton knight Count Alain of Richmond, interested in her inheritance as the daughter of King Harold and Edith Swan-Neck, or does he love her for herself?

Good— better than I thought.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I’m disappointed that Audible doesn’t have book 1 in the trilogy, but that’s ok. Each book can be read as a standalone… if you’re a fan of this time period , I would definitely recommend this book.
