Publisher's summary

Alderman John Foster purchases a piece of land from the Magdalen Nunnery intending to build a chapel, dedicated to the Magi - the Three Kings of Cologne - and some almshouses. He little imagines the shocking discovery about to be made.

When the land is cleared and dug over, the body of a young woman is unearthed and later identified as the remains of Isabella Linkinhorne, who disappeared 20 years earlier. Feeling himself responsible, Foster decides to employ Roger the Chapman to investigate, for there is no doubt that the woman was murdered.

A good Listen

I enjoy the lead character and the mystery, while a bit twisty, is well plotted.
