Couldn't keep going, HORRIBLE narration/production

The narrator is horrible. He also tells you things like, END OF CHAPTER 1. I tried to ignore the accent and the way the narrator read but I just couldn't. A shame.

I loved it!

Would you consider the audio edition of The Time Portal to be better than the print version?

I never read the print edition but the reviews on Amazon for the print edition influenced my decision to buy this.

What did you like best about this story?

I really enjoyed how the chief character, Lucky dealt with the corrupt government official who was trying to have him killed.

What about Al Benelli’s performance did you like?

I loved that there were so many distinct and unique voices. It was like listening to a cast of characters. I know someone else said that in their review, but it is very true.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes and no. I knew it was more than 12 hours long but I truly found myself wanting to move quickly to the next chapter. I did however put it down a few times.

Any additional comments?

My first "time travel" book. Surely not my last. I'll be looking for Book 2 in the series.

Words escape me

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

This might be a great book for my 5 year old nephew

Has The Time Portal turned you off from other books in this genre?

no

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The way he made Lucky sound made me think of an uneducated wanna be thug

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Sadness that I bought the audio book based on the plot.

Best Time Travel Book ever!

What would you do with the ability to travel through time? Would you tell the world... And end up on the cover of "Newsweek"? ...Or would you guard your secret? Would you time travel for pleasure or business... or both?
Imagine trading your 21st century pocket knife or lipstick in a Byzantine marketplace for a few "ancient" coins... only to bring them back to Sotheby's to auction for a small fortune. Sounds like a great little business, huh?
Like to "lose" that idiot in the next cubicle at work... Or that annoying neighbor? Why not get them a job far away... and long ago... like perhaps, helping to build the Great Pyramid? Would you like to take your friends to see the ruins of Rome... before they got ruined?

When a terrorist plot leaves Lucky Campo fighting for his life... that life is forever changed as his miraculous recovery leaves him with a far more miraculous new ability... the power to locate and identify the many "portals" scattered throughout the space-time continuum. Fame, fortune, romance and adventure await this independent CIA operative as he puts his newly acquired powers to work to uncomplicate and enrich his greatly entangled life.

This latest collaboration by Joe Corso and Al Benelli is pure magic. The story is amazing and the storytelling a work of theatrical genius. Move over Harry Potter, Bilbo Baggins and Han Solo... Lucky Campo is the new Sci-fi fantasy hero in town. - Audavoxx.
