About this listen

L.E. Modesitt, Jr.'s The Towers of the Sunset continues his bestselling fantasy series the Saga of Recluce, which is one the most popular in contemporary epic fantasy.

Rather than accepting a marriage arranged by his mother, the powerful military matriarch of Westwind, Creslin chooses exile, setting out to find his own identity and developing his magical talents through conflict with the enigmatic white wizards of Candar.

What Creslin doesn't know he stands in the way of their plot to subjugate the world.

Great Story

This Author has a way of building this world and all the characters in it. I’m glad I gave this a chance! Graphic Audio Dramatized Adaptation is my favorite style. I love sound effects and different character voices!

An insufferable female character

The main female character was completely unbearable and such misery would not leave the story line for most of the book

Not as enjoyable as the book

The performance’s is okay, but the editing of the book leaves the story flat at times. If you listen to this as your first encounter with the saga you would find this slightly confusing. I would definitely recommend listening or reading one of the earlier books before this.
