What would happen if Mr. Bennet made an ill-fated attempt to resolve the issue of the entail only to create a much bigger problem for his family and Mrs. Bennet were even more of a shrew than in canon? What if Mr. Bennet had a secret reason to encourage the couple to marry quickly and before returning home? Story
A change in the circumstances of the entail leaves Elizabeth Bennet as the mistress of Longbourn, beholden to no one. Despite the tragedy that took her parents and all but one of her sisters from her, Elizabeth eventually heals, and she takes up the affairs of the estate with a flair her father never possessed. But estate ownership has its own trials, for it makes Elizabeth the target of those who might have otherwise viewed her as nothing more than a pretty vivacious girl.

Miss Mildred Percy is a spinster. She does not dance, she has long stopped dreaming, and she certainly does not have adventures. That is, until her great uncle has the audacity to leave her an inheritance, one that includes a dragon’s egg. The egg—as eggs are wont to do—decides to hatch, and Miss Mildred Percy is suddenly thrust out of the role of “spinster and general wallflower” and into the unprecedented position of “spinster and keeper of dragons.” But England has not seen a dragon since…well, ever.

Love This Series! Fun Collection of Short Stories.
This is a fun collection of dragony short stories. These are perfect for short trips and times when you can't get sucked into a longer story. Some of these stories were really eye opening to former books. Definitely recommend if you have been reading this series.
Benjamin Fife's narration is fantastic as always! I love his range in all the accents, dragon voices, character differentiation, and overall acting.
Parents- PG- middle grade and up read
Language: mild very little language, no f-bombs

Bite size glimpse into the Austinian Dragon's Life
I fell in love with this series from the very first Jane Austin-esque tale I listened to. Benjamin Fife is a gifted narrator. both talented in his range of voices and his acting, he gives the reader total enjoyment in his presentation. It definitely helps to have an author so talented penning the tales to begin with. The Turnpike Dragon contains eleven bit-size tales I enjoyed immensely.

Interesting stories from Maria Grace's Austen AU
This is one of my favorite series, combining well-crafted plots with richly developed characters, and a delightful combination of Regency England and dragons. I love how each dragon type has their own traits, and how each dragon within a type has their own distinct personality. Also nice, the women are intelligent and active in creating their own outcomes, not accessories waiting for someone to come save them. I especially liked the last story, and look forward to seeing how the newest dragon ties into the larger plot line. A great collection of short stories that are short and the perfect filler while your waiting for the next book in the series.

Fun dragon stories
I loved this collection of short stories. Especially the second one, where the fairy dragons hatch. Who can resist baby dragons? It was my introduction to the entire series, and I'm looking forward to the full-length novels.
I liked getting a glimpse into this hidden world, and the Blue Order.
Benjamin Fife does an excellent job with the entire cast of characters, dragons and humans! All the voices, tones, accents, and cadences he uses — I don't know how he keeps track of them all.
I probably did things backwards since this book fills in gaps in the prior stories, but reading it out of order didn't diminish my enjoyment. I know which dragons I want to know more about.

Short but good
This was an interesting book about dragons and dragon eggs. It is a short story. It was hard for me to get into the book, the story didn't feel energized but that is just me, I like books that feel alive.
I received this book for free in return for my honest opinion.

A delightful dragon addition!
These stories are delightful. I love these dragons, and this book fills in so many wonderful tales of people and dragons that we love in her books. Characters that I had already been fond of I found myself loving even more, and meeting new people and dragons that found their way into my heart. (I sore the Turnspit drain so much) These books are well written, and Mr Fife brings such life to her words. My 15 year old daughter and I pour over these stores like they are beloved friends.

Terrific stories!
These stories provide interesting background information that answers some open questions I had during and after reading the previous books. I especially liked the stories that fill in why Frances became Thomas’ wife, how the Collins developed their relationships with Longbourn, why Lady C chose to attend the cotillion and how the Crofts met White. Looking forward to learning more about problems introduced during the cotillion.

Dragons everywhere!!
Having a dragon friend can be complicated, this is a great foray in to the world of The Blue Order, where special people who can hear dragons have many adventures! The series is one of my favorites and this anthology enriches and explains some of the wider world of The Blue Order. Ben Fife does a great job as narrator, bringing all our new dragon friends to life!
