About this listen
Ready to tackle the duties of a running a multi-billion dollar trust, his plans for the year are once again derailed, this time by his pugnacious family. Not content with their cattle ranches and oil fields, his aunts, uncles and even his parents are determined to see every last dime entrusted to their own self-serving pockets.
With none of the reluctance he initially showed for the Gift, he eagerly accepts the challenge and pushes himself to prove not only to his family and the court but the world, that with determination and the simple tenets of the Gift, anyone can lead The Ultimate Life.

Story
You can't expand your wallet until you expand your mind. Becoming a millionaire is not just about all the things you want to have, but it's about the things you want to do and give. In order to climb to the financial peak, you've got to crawl out of the valley of debt. You will either voluntarily control your money now, or it will force its control on you later. The vast majority of people never arrive at their destination - not because they don't have what it takes but because they don't manage what they have.

Thousands of people have had near-death experiences, but scientists have argued that they are impossible. Dr. Eben Alexander was one of those scientists. Neurosurgeon Alexander knew that NDEs feel real, but are simply fantasies produced by brains under extreme stress. Then, Dr. Alexander’s own brain was attacked by a rare illness. The part of the brain that controls thought and emotion shut down completely. For seven days he lay in a coma. Then Alexander’s eyes popped open. He had come back. Alexander’s recovery is a medical miracle. But the real miracle of his story lies elsewhere.

Story
Once upon a time. Happily ever after. Such are the classic promises of fairy tales. Yet in Texas we find a twist to the familiar storyline. In If the Devil Had a Wife, there is still the battle of Good vs. Evil, a beautiful maiden, a wealthy suitor, a kingdom of riches and the wicked witch, but any similarity with Cinderella and Snow White ends there. With the help of her life partner and an attorney (always necessary in these modern times), Nelda Stark executes a devious plan that elevates fraud and theft to a new high.

Very good follow up to The Ultimate Gift
If you could sum up The Ultimate Life in three words, what would they be?
Pass it on!
What did you like best about this story?
I liked the gentleness, and the way the judge hearing the case became more involved and aware of the gifts in his life.
Which scene was your favorite?
The Forgiveness near the end.
If you could take any character from The Ultimate Life out to dinner, who would it be and why?
The judge, because he truly loved his wife after many years, and yet knew there was room to still grow, love and give.
Any additional comments?
I'd give this a 4.5 overall if possible in the ratings. I know Stovall keeps his stories brief and too the point, which I think is good for the most part. Read the first book before this one. The narrator was very good, also.

I ENJOYED THIS BOOK
I always wondered what happened after, the ultimate gift. It answered alot of questions of what happened between Jason & Alexa. I loved how all Jason fell in love with his grandfather thru the hard work and challenges he was given. This was a very interesting book. I am glad that Jason did not let the money break up his family.

Disappointed
What I didn't like was that the author just reused all the videos, and all the successes of Jason from the first book. I would have loved to have seen it just do the outcome of each court order. And to think we went through the entire Ultimate Gift for another year.
