Life Changing Advice

If a man that completely lost all sight in his 20s can build a multimillion dollar nest egg and influence millions, the average person is supported by nothing but excuses. Amazing book.

Very moving and inspiring story.

I picked up this book is part of my journey with anxiety and depression. I've traced a lot of my anxious reasoning to a general pessimistic view on life. I've explored a few books on optimism including authors like Martin Seligman and now Jim Stovall. I find that they are potentially links in a chain of changing one's Behavior and thinking patterns from those that generate anxiety and self-doubt to thoughts of hopefulness and success. Although I didn't find the book packed with useful tools, as I had hoped, there were some valuable insights. I think the overall messaging painted a picture of what a budding Optimist must do in order to change one's thinking and develop a more positive outlook on their future.

It was a great listen

filled with many compelling reasons for being an optimistic person and changing our point of view. it did not however, provide many tricks or tips or lessons on becoming more optimistic and sticking true to an optimistic lifestyle. If you need more reasons to be optimistic and change your outlook, this one's for you. If you're stuck thinking like a pessimistic person right now and need to change your thinking to be more optimistic, this won't help very much. still, it is an encouragement to the seeking of the optimist's lifestyle.
