About this listen
A dragon bond, a usurped throne, and a realm on the brink of destruction…
Ophelia Monroe had no idea magic existed until a dying dragon bulldozed through her Texas school, and a haughty Fae prince stole her away to another realm. Suddenly, an unprecedented bond makes her Queen of the Fae in Charassi, a magical realm she never could have imagined.
But when Vie, an evil Fae, usurps her crown, Ophelia is temporarily stranded on Earth with Prince Corrin and a dragon named Shadow on the River. When they return, Charassi is a realm transformed. The people live in fear, and their allies are being targeted not only by Vie but by his and Corrin’s mother—the former queen, Emalda.
Retaking the throne won't be easy, especially with the dark power Emalda wields to Unmake soldiers—draining away their souls and leaving their bodies as puppets under her command.
To make herself even more powerful, Emalda steals the Bone Crown, an artifact that belongs to the rightful ruler of Charassi. With the crown, she's a nearly unbeatable foe. Ophelia and Corrin must get the artifact back and find a way to protect the palace and their people.
If they fail, all of the dragons and Fae of the realm will pay the ultimate price.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Love it, can't wait to go on with the story
I like this story for how it develops. It's about doing the right thing, respecting others and helping each other so that the mistakes of a few can be prevented. If you like a fantasy world where fairies, dragons, elves, elves and fairy tales are real, this book is for you too. Don't expect it to be a dragon knight story, because that's not an important part of the tale.
Once this story starts, it will be quite difficult to let go. The author is very skilled at maintaining suspense and making you want to read/listen further. The audiobook is done very well, the reader helps bring out the emotions and the feeling of being part of the story.

This book had me on the edge of my seat from the beginning till the end. From being stranded on earth, to watching friends be turned into Unmade. Ending with the Return of Emalda to power. This series is a MUST.

Great Addition to the Series
This second installment of the series was well written and kept me hooked thanks to the entertaining characters. The narrator did a great job of breathing life into the characters and made this a fun listen.

Loved it
I have always loved Ava ‘s books. This is one of my favorite series. I love Sunny the snarky dragon king. That chose a human over the Fae. Will Orphelia be able to get back to Charassi to save it? What will she come back to? A book I couldn’t stop listening to until I finished it. A great listen.

Battling for Charassi . . .
This is an exciting story line featuring Ophelia Monroe and Prince Corrin’s dangerous adventure. An evil Fae causes the two of them to be stranded on Earth which means that Ophelia and Corrin will have to figure out some way to get back to Charassi. By the time they do, everything has changed and the people are afraid. Will there be anyone to assist Corrin and Ophelia lead their attack on the castle? Retaking the throne won't be easy, especially with Emalda’s dark powers being used against them. Ophelia and Corrin must get her stolen Bone Crown back and find a way to protect the dragons and Fae or all will be lost.
The narrator for the audiobook version, Mago Weston, brings the “reading” experience alive for the listener. She does a good job with the voices to personalize the story and make it easy for the listener to get an accurate impression of what each character is like. It helps to set the mood, familiarize the reader with the characters, and offers a pleasant way to “read” and enjoy the book.

Gotta love some dragons❤️
I love a story about dragons, and this one doesn’t disappoint! Watching Ophelia learn to navigate her way through her magic and work to find a way to save her people and return to her thrown.
