About this listen

One of them is missing.... One of them did it....

The Thanksgiving retreat was meant to be a time for them to get away from it all, miles from the secrets that threaten to tear their family apart. But they’re each hiding something.

Rose hopes the pretty house overlooking the sea is just the break her family needs. But as she gazes at the water and remembers her own childhood, she is utterly terrified.

Brandon knows his wife Rose has barely forgiven him for his affair. He’s started drinking again, a road that led him to disaster once before.

Brianna, Rose’s sister-in-law, is recovering from her fifth miscarriage, and when she looks at her adorable niece, she can’t help but see the daughter she deserves.

Then three-year-old Lily disappears from her bed in the villa. Isolated in what should have been paradise, it quickly becomes clear that one of them took her.

As one by one their secrets are uncovered, who will be destroyed next?

A completely addictive thriller about every parent’s worst nightmare that will keep you guessing into the early hours of the morning. Perfect for fans of The Guest List, One by One, and The Sister-in-Law.

Quick read

This was a great story with lots of twists and turns. I will say it wrapped up a little too perfect in the end but I like that you're not left wondering about any of the pieces. The narration was good. she did way better this time than the first time I heard her.

Storyline Meh

One word summarizes this story BORING..it didn't pick up until close to the end and then the end was terrible. Don't waste your credit I'll try to return this book and get something much more interesting.

Great story!

The story was great and the narrator was very good, too, although it would’ve been better if she had done Jamaican accent.

Way too drawn out and not very realistic ......and why a baby?

I thought the story teller was pretty good! but the story line was terrible and the whole book revolves around the terrible story line. I was waiting for something good to happen and it fell flat! and just made me sad!!.... I started the book and I followed it all the way through... but wanted to quit it so many times!!... I usually like the author! but the emotions seemed so unrealistic to what would really happen in this situation! ... it was ok! the book in a whole, wasn't terrible, but overall, Mehhh!!

Really twisty

I thought I had it figured out, then changed my mind, then back to the original thought. haha
A great beach or pool read, easy to follow, easy to know the characters. Reminiscent of a highly publicized case.

not good

too long not enough mystery in the plot at the unnecessary child death could've killed the husband with same impact...bored
