About this listen

Can a vampire dance and shoot at the same time?

Vampire bounty hunter Nathaniel Newburg follows his mark into Nocturne Falls, a place where it's easy for anyone to hide and blend in. At first it seems as though he has his prey cornered, only to confront a beautiful feline-shifter, Camille Nahuel, instead. She dances around the floor with sultry steps, instructing a ballroom class, and dances around his heart even faster. Oh, tango, the game is on. Can Nathaniel control his annoyance long enough to finish his job and save his love?

The Vampire Bounty Hunter's Unexpected Catch is the first book by Larissa Emerald set in the Nocturne Falls Universe. Take a twirl around the dance floor with a flirty feline shifter and a sexy vampire.

Ended too soon, unfinished!

Nice enough story, but feels incomplete. You just get into the romance when the story abruptly ends. At the very least, there should be an epilogue to wrap up the romance following the completion of Nathan's task. Otherwise, a very satisfying bit of mystery and romance wrapped up in a bounty hunt.

Another Nocturne Falls Hit

I love this series and all of the books by Kristen Painter and the short ones by the various other authors. So glad that B.J. Harrison is narrating them. He is fabulous and brings out the best in all of the characters and every aspect of each story. This one is especially one that I will be re-reading over time it is so good.

Great narrator.

I did enjoy this story but the ending wasn’t very satisfactory. It is possible for short stories to have a good conclusion but this one needed a bit more.

Another Success

A wonderful audio, kept me interested the whole time but too short of a story line.

What?

I love this series, but I’m seriously sitting here going white? Like what happened between him and his brother? What happened with the need for the vampire to be caught? Why are there all these? At the end when they’re never these? Does the end of any other book?

cute story

While I felt it eneded a bit abruptly, I enjoyed it very much and liked it as a cute shorter story added to the Nocturne Falls universe.

Way Too Short!

This little nugget takes place after the Valentine's Day Bake-off and before Alex meets Roxy. It has some interesting dynamics that could've been filled out some more, we only have hints at which could have been some really interesting side-stories.

pretty good short

the only thing that really gets to me is that Nate's brother, a vampire, is in a wheelchair. um, huh?... isn't super fast healing of like, every part if a vampire's body, supposed to be one of the major advantages in being a vampire?...🤔
.. there really could've been so much more to this story. for instance, he told his {wheelchair-bound, Vampire} brother that they would talk as soon as he finished up the case. no sooner does he say this is it all neatly wrapped up. except for that talk...
.. definitely could've been so much more...

Unexpected catch

Don’t waste your money or any of your credits for this particular story,

I love Nocturne Falls stories.
This particular story has a very exciting beginning, and catchy appeal I don’t know what the writer was thinking that it doesn’t really have an ending. It doesn’t give much of a story I don’t understand there is a lot more to add to the story and the romance of the bounty Hunter.

Great book, BUT.....

What made the experience of listening to The Vampire Bounty Hunter's Unexpected Catch the most enjoyable?

I love the characters and their interactions but the ending was quick and without explanation of what happened afterwards. I do not like quick and dirty endings!
