Publisher's summary

Welcome to the spell-binding world of The Vampire Gift...!

"A young girl stolen in the night finds herself captive in a vampire coven she is destined to rule..."

So begins the story of The Vampire Gift. This new and updated 2019 box set contains the first three, full books of the series that has captivated listeners all over the world.

~The Vampire Gift 1: Wards of Night~

When 17-year-old Eleira wakes up in a strange, unfamiliar room high above the redwoods of California, she has no idea what's waiting for her in the dark.

A trio of hauntingly beautiful vampires with a taste for her blood...

An ancient sanctuary locked away in time...

And a wicked queen determined to do anything to hold on to her rule.

Caught between three vampire brothers and coveted for her bloodline, Eleira is swept into a world of supernatural magic where nothing is as it seems and betrayal lurks behind every corner. She must fight for her survival or risk being made prey for the very creatures who keep her there. But when she discovers a dark, twisted prophecy with her at its center, she is pulled deep into the heart of The Haven... and realizes that the vampires she seeks to escape might just be the key to her salvation.

~The Vampire Gift 2: Kingdom of Ash~

A daring rescue has freed Eleira from The Crypts.

But that rescue has come at a great cost, stripping Eleira of her humanity and opening up the battlelines between the world's most powerful covens.

Now, as a creature of the night, Eleira has no choice but to return to The Haven. She must discover the truth of the dark prophecy surrounding her life and learn the extent of her new powers... all the while navigating the treacherous landscape of her heart.

But as the Queen awaits Eleira's arrival, discord grows among the The Haven's vampires. The threat of war, of outside attack, has them questioning their monarch's ability to rule... and the necessity of The Succession.

Eleira was supposed to be their savior. Her newfound strength instead makes her a threat. None are eager to welcome her back with open arms... and all will fight to bring her down if they think it will help them get ahead.

~THE VAMPIRE GIFT 3: THRONE OF DUST~

The Convicted army, led by one possessed by The Ancient, stands on one side of a great chasm.

On the other, the remaining Haven vampires, banded together under their Prince, determined to save their home and protect the humans.

A war is about to break out. It all revolves around Eleira.

Get ready for the fight of a lifetime.

Meh.

The story is alright. It is clearly rushed content and is just lacking in most ways. The story line is interesting enough, but it lacks depth and makes it feel empty. I would say this was either a new author or an author who cares about quantity over quality. The imagery is limited and the chapters are sometimes embarrassingly short. I am almost done with the first book and I know next to nothing about any of the characters. No attachment has built for any of them. If I had bought just the first book and not a set of three I’d have probably deleted my audible account. I’m tired of this garbage.

The narrator doesn’t seem to understand what tone of voice to use for any situation in the book. I’m almost done with the first book. She makes everyone sound like they are whining when they are meant to sound commanding or even yelling. It’s just lazy. The author was lazy. The narrator was lazy. Im not impressed. Normally I am less harsh with my reviews, but audio books are expensive. Writers seem to care most about putting out multiple books for something that should probably only be a single book, over providing content worth spending the money on.

Audible needs to be pickier or cheaper. This is a consistent problem.

I feel this pack was well worth the buy.

The storyline was interesting and drew me in.
Contains some Romance, Some violence, there is a hint of rape and I can’t remember any course language. I think that this story could suit a young adult.
The narrator is a wonderful job. Giving each character their own unique voice.
I enjoyed it.

If you like a twisted tale

This entire 3 book set is one dark tale. A little romance, but it feels more like teen obsession than true love found. Twists and turns abound, to the point where it got crazy. Everyone seems to have a agenda, and all seem ready to tell whatever half truths necessary to see their personal goals carried out. If you love dark stories built on unbridled ego running rampant, then you will love this series.

The insight. Into a various characters

Overall A very good storyline with a lot of insight into the individual characters. Some of the chatter Introduced if reduced would enable and enabled the story To expand further on the link between the Norwac and Alera.

I hope There will be additional books!

Very interesting look at Vampires

So much happens in Book 3 that you kinda get lost in all the angles. There are so many interesting characters. No sex, but there is lust and kissing.

Love the series, but...

I've read the series on Kindle, twice actually, and wanted to try it out on audible since it's been a while and I was looking for my next read. I really dislike this narrator. She reminds me of the almost robotic voice of Alexa when I used to have Alexa read my books from Kindle, and it's making it difficult for me to concentrate on the story rather than the voice reading it. Maybe it sounds fine to other people and I've just gotten spoiled with other narrators. I'm going to push through it because I know if I keep going I will become accustomed to it, but right now, it's driving me nuts!

Cool Vamps, Whiney Main Charac., Some inconsistency.

Really like the visuals and descriptions of people and places. Did not like how whiney and cry-baby the main character was. Did not like how some of the story doubled over on itself meaning something happened once then later the same character/s acted like it was the first time they’d seen/heard about that event. Overall good listen. Personal trauma made me dislike main character at points, not the writer’s fault.
