Publisher's summary

Vampire Adrian offered Eliza a choice: die of a fatal illness, or become his consort and attend to his every need. Eliza chose life, but she did not expect to fall in love - and lust - with him….

Nothing compares to the erotic excitement of watching Adrian pleasure one of his many willing companions, but she’s tired of waiting for Adrian to see her as more than his consort. She thinks she’s ready to move on with her human lover, John - until Adrian surprises all three of them with a sensual encounter that changes everything….

Narration ruined it...

How could the performance have been better?

The narration was HORRIBLE! It was off pace, monotone and actually made me sleepy. You should not feel sleepy when listening to a romance! I couldn't get past the narration to finish the story. I actually came back twice and tried to finish it, but just couldn't do it. I feel that the narration truely ruined this story for me.

Did The Vampire's Consort inspire you to do anything?

Sleep...ignore it and never try to finish it again...

Any additional comments?

I'm sure that if I had read the story I would have enjoyed it, but just can't get past the narrator to enjoy this story.

Not to bad for a short story

This was a good short story and sweet how the vampire fell in love with his consort.

2 HRS FOR $2 - SHOULD SAY IT ALL !!

I love vampire stories so couldn't resist this one. But, although it had a bit of a story with weak sexual encounters it was just too short to sink your teeth into!!

If you're the type that likes 2hr stories for $2 then give it a try but don't waste a credit.

Sexy cover and title ...

Bitten once again by the sexy title and cover! Shame on me. Decent book. Lukewarm romantic encounters that could have been so much more intense. But all in all it was a decent audio and story.

Vampires...Oh My!

Any additional comments?

I love a short and sweet story. This is something different than what I usually listen to. Vampires…Oh My! Not worth a credit. But if you can get it for cheap it might be worth it. It’s kind of a slow story but I listened just the same. Not as hot and steamy as I would like but a romantic encounter. Sorry, I may not be much help on this one.

Good short paranormal romance

3-3.5 stars

This was a good story. I liked the characters and the story was well done for as short as it was.

This story is about Adrian and Eliza. Adrian is a vampire. He was in Ireland when he met Eliza, who was dying of an illness. Adrian can't stand the thought of her dying and offers to make her his "consort" (a servant that lives without aging and takes care of the vampire's home and such). It's not considered advisable to have a relationship with your consort and although Adrian has gained feelings for Eliza over the last 200 years she's served him, he's never told her. Eliza has fallen deeply for Adrian as well but it hurts very much to have to watch him bring home other women to feed on and have sex with. She tries to have a normal relationship with a human named John but breaks it off soon in to the story because it wasn't fair to John that she was with him but loved Adrian. Eliza finds herself at an impasse because she can't stand to stay with Adrian any longer but it saddens her. He birthday is coming up and she figures it's a good time to ask Adrian to release her from being his consort. Adrian thinks that she's upset because of the breakup with John and does something stupid trying to make her happy. I had a real WTF!!! moment during the story but fortunately things worked out well in the end for Adrian and Eliza (partially because of John) and the story ends nicely with a HEA for Adrian and Eliza. Overall, I enjoyed this story (outside of the WTF moment). :)

NOT WORTH YOUR TIME

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Hard to say, it is pretty dull, a lot of it is due to the reader.

If you’ve listened to books by Caridad Piñeiro before, how does this one compare?

I haven't so i can't say, but I do hope they are better than this one.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Natasha Singh?

Anyone with more emotion and range.

What character would you cut from The Vampire's Consort?

I don't believe it was any of the characters, it was the reader and the story itself. Actually, to me the story was boring and their was no meat in it.
