Best one yet

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This is a great short listen. Great for the ride to work.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I do love Magnus, but I think in this book Edmund would be my favorite. I can see how other characters from Clare's other book are the way they are and can see them in Edmund Herondale.

Have you listened to any of Andrew Scott’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is the first Andrew Scott performance I have listened to. I really like him. I feel he has been the best so far in the Bane books.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

What would you do for love?

Any additional comments?

Best book of the series so far.

More Serious Than Death

Love is deeper than death in this elegant novella, and the distinctions among the immortals, the magical and the mundanes perfect.

Very Good

The voice actors voice was defiantly the closest to what I imagined for Bane. Defiantly.

Pretty Good Short Story

Overall, it's a good purchace. Magnus is an impish, child-like character though he's like 100's of years old. If it's about him, it's worth the listen. This one was far better than the one about Peru.

Now THAT is what I was wanting

It seems as we go through this series it improves. The second was better then the first, and this one trumped both of them. This is the Magus Bane I was expecting. It ties into the history of the shadow hunters, brings in another of the characters from the mortal instruments series, explaining some of the relationships in those books, and explaining some of the details behind the Shadow Hunter. But more importantly you truly see some of what forms who and what Magus is and where some of his reactions come from.

The Voice even seems more like Magus and Narration is taken up a notch from the former two.

In case you are looking at the various books they are all short stories and from what I have seen so far do not need to be listened to in order they are independent stories.

Another great short story

I am really enjoying these short stories of Magnus Bane and am happy I stumbled on them. I am especially pleased that Andrew Scott is the narrator. He is fantastic in Sherlock and I like hearing his voice tell the story.

Amazing

Would you listen to The Vampires, Scones, and Edmund Herondale again? Why?

Yes, because on this particular book, we figured out what happen to the Willian's father. What happend and why he decided give up of htis life as shadownhunter. And, the last momnent the book, Cassandra makes a subtle reference to her other book. I like a lot.

Who was your favorite character and why?

How can not be Magnus Bane, again? Of course Edmund is interesting, but the story is about Magnus adventures. So, he is the principal.

Which character – as performed by Andrew Scott – was your favorite?

Magnus Bane,

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I don't know. A movie could ruin everthing thing.
