About this listen
An addictive new romantic suspense series from the desk of USA Today best-selling author Deanna Roy as Annie Winters....
Mia trembles as she reads the letter that arrives from Ridley Prison. Seduction. Bondage ropes. Descriptions of things Mia has never experienced or known.
The man's words are desperately passionate. He longs for a woman who must have given him a fake address. Mia's address.
She plans to send the letter back. He's a convicted felon. But his words gnaw at her. She's never done anything dangerous. And no man has ever talked to her like this.
So Mia writes him, pretending to be the woman he desires. It's her one dark thrill in her dull, solitary small-town life.
The man is in prison for another 15 years. It's harmless. She is safe enough...until he escapes.

Story
There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

Two blood-spattered strangers awake, locked in the trunk of a car - with a murdered cop and the smoking gun. Aside from raging headaches and no idea what's happened, they appear to have nothing in common. Troy thinks it's 2001 and he's still a combat surgeon fighting terrorists in Afghanistan. Emmy believes it's 2002 and she's still grifting a living from the streets of L.A.

I was excited and then I was disappointed.
I thought this story was going to be filled with hot BDSM action, yet somehow there was nothing more than a kiss. This felt like half a of a book in all honesty. I might try the next one but if it continues at this rate I'm going to move on, I like suspense but the author needs to know when enough is enough in terms of the relationship between the main characters.

Mysterious, Suspenseful and Sexy!
Would you consider the audio edition of The Vigilante's Lover: A Romantic Suspense Thriller to be better than the print version?
I haven't read the print version, but I really enjoyed the story as an audiobook! It had great pacing, and the story worked extremely well as an audiobook! I think I would've like it in print, but I definitely loved it as an audiobook.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Vigilante's Lover: A Romantic Suspense Thriller?
When Jax and Mia "meet" for the first time! It was definitely an intense way for two characters to meet!
What about Gordon Anthony Palagi and Samantha L. Mantin ’s performance did you like?
I absolutely LOVED Gordon Anthony Palagi! His voice was AMAZING, it complemented the story extremely well, and his chapters were my favourite parts of the story! I wasn't actually a big fan of Samantha L. Mantin though. I just didn't enjoy her voice and narration. I did get used to her, but I definitely wouldn't listen to a book where she was the only narrator. Gordon's chapters made up for hers, but I would probably have preferred if he were the only narrator, or if they'd chosen another narrator for Mia's chapters.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I loved getting to see more of the Vigilantes' world! It's very mysterious, and I discovering bits and pieces of their secret group!
Any additional comments?
I absolutely loved this story, and really enjoyed it as an audiobook! I'd recommend it to readers who love romantic suspense, especially if you like your leading men naughty and mysterious! ;)

Different
Not my type of book, but it was well written and very well narrated. I personal prefer a story with an hea. If you go for a fast paced mystery you will love this one. Except for the ending, the book was good.

More Jax
Would you listen to The Vigilante's Lover: A Romantic Suspense Thriller again? Why?
Yes very intriguing and entertaining.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Actually had two favorites Jax and Mia they both were kind of lost, but they managed to have quite an adventurous foray into the unknown.
Which scene was your favorite?
When she first meets Jax after he breaks into her home.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
You could listen in a few hours, but I rounded it out for a few extra days

Interesting story but annoying cliffhanger
The story and narration are fairly good but the cliffhanger just stops mid story. It's a short novel and truly the three should/could be just one. I hate when authors split up a story like this just to get you to buy three books instead of one or even possibly two but it's not worth three credits with how short they are and definitely not worth 24 bucks to buy outright. Too bad I was interested but not this much
